“Chilling...Gripping...Somber”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

If you have never visited a holocaust type museum / memorial, you cannot imagine the horrors of war. It demonstrates the extremes of man's inhumanity...first hand view of the results...unbelievable what happened to the people. You can read about the events in the news and in books, but to experience the actual location and to see some of the after effects...significantly different impact...extremely chilling experience...

“Disturbing”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

A very moving and disturbing place. Anyone who visits Cambodia and doesn't stop here doesn't get it.

“Sobering but sensitive museum”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

The extent of the Khmer Rouge atrocities is graphically displayed. The remains of clothing, bones and personal effects really brings home the horrors that Cambodia went through just a few decades ago.

“Very Distressing But A Must See”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

There is absolutely nothing to like about a visit to this place - its absolutely horrifying but has to be seen to be able to appreciate the extent of the atrocities carried out by the Kymer Rouge. When you see the extent of the killing that took place you are left feeling so very distressed. Walking the paths in the fields and the tour guide pointing out human bones protruding from the path you are walking on was one of the most distressing things I have ever experienced. A place I would never ever wish to visit again but so very glad I did as I had no idea of the full extent of the atrocities carried out by the Kymer Rouge until this visit. The monument of human remains is very moving.

“Very hard to see but worthy to see as a reminder”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

I had a very difficult time with this as I really didn't know that much about the history. Had very good guide which enhanced the experience
