It's about 45min away from the City. On route is hot and dusty on the tuk tuk. Once you get there, you would need the audio tapes. Otherwise it's just walking around patches of grass.

After visiting you'll be impressed by the cruelty of Pol Pot. You have to combine this with Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.

Wow, these places are an eye opener. Very interesting to hear factual reports and testimonies from those who have lived through this tragic experience. Great to combine a Killing Fields tour with the quad biking "Trail blazers" tour just down the road. If you do, aim to do the half day quad biking, it's a great way to see the countryside surrounding the killing fields.

Very well preserved and also a sense of peace is now felt there. A beautiful, poignant place to visit.

I canot even put into words what it is like to visit this place. Your heart just goes out to the men women and children that were tortured and killed here. just some advice, this isnt a place for children to visit. there is remains of men women and children on display as well as harrowing stories from survivors. I witnessed many families coming through and I cannot image the trauma that young children would experience from this visit.
