“Au revoir!”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

I had been staying in this hotel for many years. I liked the location, the large rooms and the feel of all the wood...no more! Last time I was there, the elevator was being repaired. Now that is a good thing as I've always worried whether I'd get in it and take a freefall to the ground floor or not. The problem I have is the laissez-faire attitude the staff had about this inconvenience, but given that it's French run, that doesn't surprise me. I understand shyt happens, but at least go the extra step to offer me a free drink coupon at your bar, if not a discount on the rate. All I got was "here's your key, elevator is broke, sorry". Well, I'm taking my business elsewhere, as there are plenty other comparable places in PP.

Oh, and while I'm at it, what's up with that stupid coffee machine kiosk? Can't you find a better use for that space, like maybe put a treadmill and exercise bike in there?

Stayed one night at the Amanjaya. Had a nice big room with a balcony overlooking the monastery next door. Staff was very helpful and friendly, but really the best of the hotel is its location.
The elevator is old and extremely slow and hot (no a/c), the breakfast is average and is taken at their restaurant named K West, which is open to the general public. You get to choose from three options on a menu.
Of all the hotels in my trip, this was the hotel with the weakest breakfast.
The Amanjaya does have a nice roof terrace, where you can watch the river, the traffic , sunset ,while having a cool drink.
Mainly due to its location, OK for short stays .

We stayed at Amanjaya Pancam Hotel for 2 nights last June 2012. We had a nice huge room that has a magnificent view of the Mekong River, it also has a large tub! The food at the restaurant is also good.

What I like about Amanjaya is their friendly staff and the strategic location of the hotel. It is right in front of the Riverside (Riverview) where you can walk along this strip and find tons of nice restaurants and bars.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the River.

Very nice hotel located on a very central location: near nice & good restaurants and close to several attractions like the Royal Palace. We were in the Panorama Room. This is really a fantastic room with a great view. Personell was very friendly. Breakfast was average but we had dinner one night in the hotel and that was good.

Terrible hotel. They stole $250 USD from within our 'safe' inside our room. I also left a (very expensive) shirt in the room by accident. We were on our honeymoon and it was the shirt I got married in so I really wanted in back. I returned the next day to ask if they had a lost property they simply said 'nothing was found left in your room', and were very unhelpful. Don't stay here unless you want your stuff to get stolen by the staff.

Great views to the rivers' junction, just in the middle of the happening. If you like colonial style, this is the place. Large comfortable rooms, good restaurant and great roof terrace.

Room Tip: Rooms on the middle (in junction with the square). Best view.
