The hotel was lovely, simple and clean and large room, friendly staff. Breakfast was nice, eaten at the poolside.

The pool is really nice and clean and towels were provided. We really enjoyed coming back in the afternoon to cool off and relax.

We walked everywhere from our hotel but i wouldnt say it was super close to things, we are just happy on foot. There are plenty of tuk tukts outside waiting though if you would prefer.

For the price and pool i would definitely recommend to others.

Room Tip: We had a room on the poolside which we really liked

We states at the hotel for two nights after travelling from Ho Chi Minh arriving at the busy bus stop. We were waved at by a tuk tuk driver Jantar who we would use for stay.

The staff were very friendly on arrival not letting us carry our bags up the stairs.

The room was simple but clean. No coffee facilities or hairdryer which we had been used to whilst travelling.

The swimming pool was lovely after a full day sightseeing and a suntrap

Breakfast was served in the nice bar area staff maybe could have had a nice smile apart from that good selection.

Staff on reception were excellent helping to arrange onward travel. Nothing any trouble.

We used Jantar for the full day sightseeing to the killing fields, shooting range, national museum and grand palace for 30 dollars.

It was about 25 min walk to the river which was lovely and to the night market which was amazing for eating.

I would recommend this hotel for its location and helpfulness of the staff especially Janny but if i were to stay again go for a room with balcony.

This is the second time i have stayed at The Billabong In 3 years. Great little place to stay in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh. Rooms are quite small but adequate and reasonably priced. Reception staff are friendly and competent. Swimming pool is great and clean as is the surrounding bar and restaurant. Quite enjoyed the breakfast that was included with the room price, coffee was good and again the service was all smiles and politeness. The best thing i liked about this place is the No sex tourist policy and no bar girls back to the rooms. Nothing winds me up more than a giggling Khmer bar girl getting pawed over by a fat balding Russian/British/German man in speedos in the swimming pool while chilling out. There are other places in town that can accomodate this! I like the way the Billabong is aimed at Solo, Couples and families looking for a little Oasis central to everything in the City. Would definitely recommend.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the top floor, the complex was very quiet giving us 3 nights good sleep. It was good to relax around the pool after sightseeing but the sun was very strong so lots of sunscreen needed. Breakfast selection was very good also enjoyed the fish nuggets at lunchtime. If taking a tuk tuk to the killing fields take a face mask or scarf as very very dusty journey but surely more enjoyable than in a taxi.

Fantastic place, food great. Great prices for everything. Staff excellent, so cheerful and so so helpful. Pool just topped of the stay. Rooms are average simple but very clean with everything you need also fab aircon which is a must.
You would not know that you were right in the heart of things. Big shopping centre 3-4 min walk away. I only stayed 2 nights as had to go to Siem Reap. Would gladly stayed longer if i could and would go back again when i can. Feel you cant go wrong here.

Arrived at the bus depot from Siem Reap. Got a tuk tuk to the Hotel for $4. About a 10min ride.

We stayed at the Billagong for two nights. What a shame we weren't here for longer. It is a little oasis. We loved our room on the ground floor, opening out on to the pool area. The location was fine.

You are walking distance, even in the heat, from a great shopping mall! We used tuk tuks to go everywhere else. $3 seemed to be the go, each way, for all trips around town. It's a big city. Unless you love the heat and dodging everything you can think of that parks on the pavement, grab a tuk tuk!

Things to do: try and have at least two full days in Phnom Penh. Three would have been perfect. There's plenty to see. We went out to the Killing Fields which took just under an hour in peak hour traffic by tuk tuk! Then on to the Genocide Centre which is located back in town. Then to Daughters of Cambodia for lunch. Went to a show in the evening at the National Museum. It was different!

Make sure you have dinner down by the river one night. It's a happening place!

We had four nights in Siem Reap, two nights in Phnom Penh. We wished it had been the other way round! But if you just love the temples....

Breakfast included. It was satisfactory. We enjoyed having Vegemite on our toast!

Staff at the Billabong were most obliguing of organising our ongoing boat travel to Chau Doc. $25.00 by 'speed boat!' All too easy.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor open out on to the pool area. Very handy if you love to swim!

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very comfortable. Great friendly service and clean rooms in a very central location. Unfortunately our water pressure dropped to nothing on a couple of occassions leaving me stuck in the bathroom all soaped up willing the water to come back which it did after a few minutes. I also had the unfortunate experience one morning to turn the tap on to brush my teeth only to have thick brown water run over my tooth brush. If not for these isues, it would have been 5 stars.
