After 3 weeks of a high standard of food in Vietnam, afraid my wife and I can't say the same for Cambodia, and at double the price.

Anyway, this was by far and away our favourite dinner in Cambodia, never mind Phnom Penh.

We both know Indian food well, with some of the best restaurants outside of India in the UK where we live, and we (try) to cook lots of different curries, make our own curry pastes etc so like to think we have a good handle on what's good, and what's not.

We ordered veggie pakoras and onion bhajis to share for a starter. Quite different in shape and how it's made to what we're used to, but not in a bad way…..both flavoursome, moreish and delicious.

For mains, we shared three dishes: veggie baingain bhartha (aubergine stir fry), chicken dahiwala, chicken reshmi masala and a garlic naan.

All I can say is …..wow!!! Absolutely authentic Indian food. Flavour and taste was as good as you wish to encounter, better than just about anywhere. Portion sizes were generous and we couldn't quite finish everything so the waiter kindly asked if we wanted the rest to take away, and so that was the following day's brunch! Also, the Cambodian beer on tap is only $1 for a half pint, so excellent value.

Service was also very friendly and attentive: water was topped up when needed, and staff available if you wanted any more food or beverages.

The bill came to an incredibly reasonable $25 for all food and drink.

Thank you to everyone at the restaurant and all the best going forward.

We normally eat at Namaste Indian restaurant Ranked #1 on TripAdvisor, but after being at the love club decided to grab something to eat. Both my partner and I felt that taking the surroundings, the service and the food quality into account and expectations of thier rank of 15, we were totally disappointed.

For the same price we could have eaten in must better. I would not recommend Angkor India. They need to improve highly in many areas to be awarded their TripAdvisor Ranking of 15. We know of restaurants in Bkk ranked must higher into the 100s that are head and shoulders above this establishment.
