“Nicest staff ever”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

Nice big rooms in a quiet area, very helpful and kind staff, almost too good to be true. Good coffee from the "bar" and the breakfast was also good. I would probably go there again next time I visit Phnom Phen.

We have stayed at many hotels in Phnom Penh and found this hotel to be just average..the staff is nice but English is at a minimum. The room we had on the second floor was large with a large bathroom..The over all hotel could use a GOOD clean and some updating..we thought the food was a little over priced for what we got..

Room Tip: second floor or higher would be the rooms we look for if we were to return

I booked a room online at this hotel as it is in a quiet location away from the more seedy side of PP.I arrived jetlagged from a the Uk and then came down with a bad fever. I got stuck there for a week before I had the energy to leave. The staff were rude bordering on the offensive and they seemed to find my predicament amusing. Khmer people can be so charming and hospitable but staying at this place was a truely awful experience.

We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms on the top floor, and we loved it! It was just such a great room to hang out in and relax. We had a nice balcony and the sunlight just filled the room! The bed was the best bed I've had in my 2 months of travelling so far! Apart from that, the staff were helpful but the free breakfast was pretty average. The location isn't the best in PP but it's not too bad, about $1.50 (maybe $2) for a tuk tuk to any main area (well, if you're bargaining skills are good).

Room Tip: Pick the deluxe rooms up the top, we had room 8, it was awesome!

The hotel is a lovely small house with a nice terrace and lovely clean rooms, the cheapest one we got was slightly small but very well distributed, very well decorated and had two small gardens around it with French doors to let the light in. The location is really good, very close to the BKK market, and only 5 minutes away from streets 54 and 51 where there are good restaurants. I was very happy with the hotel, the only downside was that the breakfast wasn't remarkable, and the WIFI didn't work very well. But if you are looking for a quite hotel in a lively area, this is probably a good choice.

Room Tip: The cheapest rooms are on the first floor but are nice.

Where shall i beginn?
Booked the hotel beforehand while coming from Vietnam. Big mistake.....
As i didn't really know where ( which) area i should stay, i choose the Jasmine Terrace because of it's reviews and pics/ discriptions.
I just don't know why nine if tvise reviewers can't name it by the word and say that the location is sh....
It's far from everything. Not close to the Royal Palace and National Museum (about 40minutes walk), nor close to the russian-market ( 25min.) or the psar theni market (30-35 min.)
On top, the bus station is too far away ro walk aswell..:(
There's no shop, grocery or supermarket close beside a small overpriced one. No cofffee shop too to grap a decent coffee after the breakfast , which is average. Or below average.
Next negativ point: the room.
We paid 30.-- usd for having a room which was still dirty when checkinn in. Hairs and dirt on the floor, leftovers from the previous guest, hair on the toilet (yummi), and the sink in the shower was blocked...
There's no one beside the manager who speaks english... Unforfunately, she 's here (8am-5pm) when guests are normaly out exploring the city...
The nightshift couldn't even manage to debut out credit card...nor could we talk with him about issues in the room.
At least they could organise the bus tickets for us.
It's no way worth that much of money...
So Please tripadvisor community, do me a favour when you next review a hotel and tell a little bit more and objective about a place you were staying... It helps others to judge bettter what to expect...

This place is really nice and relaxing. A bit out of town ($3 to go to riverside by tuk tuk). Safety is good around and there is a 24h reception. They will organise anything you need. The room was spacious, a wall in front of our window is the only negative point but I guess it's not for all the room. A nice terrace on the first floor. You can chose between 4 different kind of breakfast and all have fresh fruit included. It was a nice stay and I would go there again if I go back to PP.
