Description: Nestled on a quiet street a few blocks from the Russian Market, Sesame Noodle Bar offers a small menu that focuses on quality over quantity. We draw from Japanese, Chinese cuisines with a splash of Americana (and don’t forget the tahini). Our house signature dish was made specifically for the Cambodian climate– ice-cold noodles, fresh vegetables, caramelized pork and a refreshing Sesame dressing. Now open for dinner and lunch, come by and see us.

“very much a favourite”

Totally surprised by the bad rap some people have given this place.

We have just come back from a month in Phnom Penh, and found everything about this place a delight.....from the friendly stafff, the great service, and the beautiful food. We loved it so much we at there at least 6 times in the month, but maybe it was 8 times. Dont leave without trying the Thor buns......

“Last time I'll go”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

We've lived in Phnom Penh for nearly 2 years now and we were delighted when this place first opened up. Their good reputation was short lived though. Over the last couple of months the overall experience has steadily declined.

The service is always slow, something we used to put up with for a good meal. But now that the quality of the food is lacking I really don't see a reason to go back. Our last meal was a complete disaster with the trademark Gyoza barely even edible.

Such a shame, this place really had some promise from when it was prided on only delivering well crafted and finely tuned cuisine.

“Lunch near Russian Market”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Great place to have lunch. It is often very busy with expats who work in the area. Their lunch special is of great value and the food is always really good.

I recommend the spicy watermelon smoothie!

“Fresh, delicious food!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

This small noodle bar is worth seeking out. The cold house noodles with tofu & egg could really be more accurately described as a lovely, large salad which will leave you feeling fresh & healthy. I had the set lunch which included vegetarian gyoza - delicious. A glass of white wine was $3. All in all, a very pleasant lunch!

“Great local eats”
Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

We live in Russian market area and this has become a regular for us. The food is great, even though value varies: if you get the noodle bowl, defitinitely filling for 1 person, it's under $4, but if you go the tapas route the portions are small and it will end up pretty expensive.

The atmosphere is pleasant and even though the service can be a little slow, the experience is great.
