Description: Nestled on a quiet street a few blocks from the Russian Market, Sesame Noodle Bar offers a small menu that focuses on quality over quantity. We draw from Japanese, Chinese cuisines with a splash of Americana (and don’t forget the tahini). Our house signature dish was made specifically for the Cambodian climate– ice-cold noodles, fresh vegetables, caramelized pork and a refreshing Sesame dressing. Now open for dinner and lunch, come by and see us.

Sesame Noodle bar is a fantastic addition to the Russian Market area and my favourite place to go for lunch. The cold noodle dishes are really tasty and the perfect lunch when it's hot and sticky outside. The staff are great and the service is always quick and friendly. The set lunches are great value - noodles (meat or veggie options) and either a side dish or a shake for less than $5. The decor is cool and quirky and the spicy watermelon shakes are amazing. Now open for dinner too with a happy hour and a Japanese style tapas menu - can't wait to try it out! Book ahead if you have a large group as they get really busy.

I'm so glad I stopped at this place while in Phnom Penh for work. The passion fruit and mint smoothie was delicious and the thor buns (who knew such a thing existed!) were excellent. The noodle bowl completed the lunch combo and overall it was a great value for fresh, flavorful food. The funky band posters and artwork lent a hip and inviting atmosphere to the place.

Sesame has been a pretty killer addition the lunch scene near the Russian Market. Their set-meals with noodle bowl and either pork buns or gyoza make for a tasty and healthy mid-day meal. At night they've got a few other different items on the menu which provide for change of pace if you come later in the day.

The pork (Thor) buns are pretty epic. The only thing on the menu I'm less a fan of are the gyoza, but others love 'em so it may just be me.

All in all Sesame is an excellent place to stop by day or night, and definitely worth a jaunt down to Russian Market if you're not already in the area.

Sesame Noodle Bar was amazing. I couldn't believe how much food you got for so little money. The coconut shake was also really good. If I am ever back in Phnom Penh I will definitely go back to Sesame Noodle Bar.

My colleagues and I were hosting a conference in Phnom Penh, and one of them is friends with the owner. On such a hot day, it was nice to step off the hectic main streets of Phnom Penh into this quiet neighborhood near the Russian Market. The restaurant is small but cozy, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had a chilled lime drink, a side of veggie gyoza and the tofu iced noodles. I also tried a bunch of different things off of my colleague's plates. The decor is eclectic and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Enjoy!!
