I was looking for a halal restaurant and found Asmak 81 near the Central Market. They serve Malaysian, Khmer and Thai food. We cycled there for lunch and the cool and relaxing ambiance were very welcoming indeed. 1 of the waitress could speak Malay hence making ordering very easy indeed. We decided to try the Khmer's beef lok lak, thai's pineapple fried rice and malaysian's equivalent to cantonese kuey teow. Portion was big, food was delicious and each dish was below usd3. Definitely recommended for those in search of halal food in Phnom Penh

This is a halal restaurant. They are serving both Khmer and Thai food. The taste is average, price wise is OK.

Upon entering the restaurant that evening, it served as a relaxing haven for us after our whirlwind tuk-tuk adventure for the day. The ambiance was just right for a cozy little dinner and our tuk-tuk guy was so kind as to join us for a meal again.

We took the main table and it had a carousel (lazy susan) and high-backed leather chairs. The air cooler was right in front of us just when we needed the cool air and a huge tv was also above it. I didn't realise that there was a Wi-Fi until I read about it online.

The setting was Chinese-themed along with chopsticks. The menu showcased Khmer, Malaysian and Thai cuisines. You can get a very good dish below USD2.

The dinner surely was delicious and superb!
