booked a 1 bedroom Suite trough Agoda. No 1 bedroom suites left!!!, so gave us a double room with no other choice and explanion. Rooms 112(our friends ) 113 (our incorrect room) & 114 avoid with some determination as there is a 5 storey building a long way from finished happening on this side This also is over the pool right above and next to where the 5 sun beds are. I would not ask anyone to take the risk of stretching out below as workmen are moving about 50 feet above. We were not advised before we came of the construction work and when we asked about it here the manager told us they only work from 8 - 5, it's 5.30 now and it still going on(again). We have been here three days and each day in the hotel there's either drilling grinding or work men doing something. Knowing what we know now we would not have come until all the work was finished. shame on you Agoda! nice hotel nice staff but you conned us.

Room Tip: not 112 113 or 114

Dear Guest, I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay at TeaHouse. The workers indeed made noise last week and I hope this will not carry on too long! But Phnom Penh is a city in transformation and there is construction pretty much everywhere....

Sorry for the wrong booking, it seems Agoda made a mistake.

I hope you could still enjoy this great city that is Phnom Penh!

Cheers,

Alexis

My partner & I stayed at this fantastic hotel for a total of 9 nights in March 2013. We found the staff incredibly warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was on the 4th floor and we loved the view and cool breezes. The breakfast every morning was something we both looked forward to and we loved the setting of dining around the pool. The central location on the hotel was also great. The swimming pool also proved a welcome relief after hot days of sightseeing. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is excellent value for money and we could not fault the service. I hope to stay again in October

Room Tip: Rooms on the 4th floor are quieter and breezier.

I moved to this hotel, after finding the 240 totally unacceptable. The T-house had everything I expect from a hotel . . . Welcoming and friendly staff (manager DavyChan was excellent), pleasant relaxing area, clean lounge area, and lovely swimming pool. Rooms were large, with everything I needed. When I return to Phnom Penh, I won't be checking for other hotels . . . faultless!

We had 2 separate stays at the Teahouse. Our first room was quite large followed by a smaller size on our second visit. The staff were very warm and helpful,to the extent that they delayed a planned elevator maintenance job until we were leaving. This saved us from a long 4 story stair climb up and down with our bags. The shallow small pool was perfect for the refreshing dip needed at the beginning or end of a hot day. Breakfasts were excellent with fresh eggs made to order and a variety of tasty side dishes. Although small in size there were a number of places to sit and reflect overlooking the neighborhood or beside the pool near the bar as well as in quiet little benches near a little fish pond. A soothing massage was available at reduced prices. The neighborhood was close to most of our destinations and the laundry service we ordered was reasonable. Compared to its upscale sister at the Plantation, it's small size made it more easy to get around.
Such a small issue, but they should invest in a few containers for those wishing to take ice to their rooms. As well the pillows were too big for a comfortable sleep and so a variety of options would be appreciated.

Room Tip: Try for a room on the first floor as the elevator was slow.

We stayed at the tea house for 2 nights in march. We were due to be at their sister hotel the blue lime but due to really bad construction noise starting at 6am we moved here to get better sleep. There was construction noise her too but only on one side rather than 3 at the blue lime so an improvement. The hotel doesn't quite have the wow factor as the blue lime around the pool but is comfortable enough and the staff make up in their friendliness. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable and the massage we had was great for hardly any money. Definitely a nice place to stay but would maybe try the plantation or kabuki their sister hotels first.

Stayed 3 nights at this newly opened hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us -- invariably friendly, smiling and helpful. Beautiful lobby and small pool off the dining area. Great location as well. Shame the room we stayed in didn't match the rest of our experience. Our Superior room was spacious, if spartan, but the design of the toilet could only be kindly described as 'quirky'. No counter space for toiletries or soap (I believe one shouldn't need to reach into the shower to grab the soap for washing one's hands) and for two people, some creative logistical organization was needed. I don't know whether this problem extends to all rooms, as the triple room (1queen + 1 single bed) on our floor was fine. Sleep quality on our last night wasn't helped by someone moving furniture around in the room above us at 6am.

A nice buffet breakfast was introduced the last 2 mornings of our stay, with a good range of fruit, juices and hot dishes. Just make sure the eggs cooked to order are in fact properly cooked. I didn't, and my stomach paid the price afterwards.

Bottom-line: great staff, but for the price, there are better hotels in Phnom Penh.

Room Tip: The triple rooms seem much nicer than the standard rooms

As you would expect from only being open 2 days, there were a few finishing off touches still to be done, but this did not effect the running of this hotel.
The rooms are nice and roomy, very clean and bathroom is also good.
Everything works great and the staff are very obliging and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic as was the refreshing swim i had in the pool. Beers are priced right and are cold.
From a 53 year old Australians perspective, this package is well suited to our age bracket.
Oh and don't forget Mr Paal, Tuk Tuk service right next door in the same building as the Laundry service from Mr Suez. Great value from these guys and they don't rip you off.
Say hi from me as these 2 really made my holiday.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the western side away from building work on the eastern side.
