I've been to Doors a couple of times, first attracted by the great fit-out of the place (amazing mural & shuttered wall, beautifully done). My initial visit was just for some drinks: the service was pretty good, and the cocktails unique and tasty, if a little more pricey than the average in PP. Enticed back for dinner by their daily stream of photos of amazing-looking food on Facebook, I've got to say I was pretty disappointed. Between a group of friends, we ordered a decent selection of dishes, but overall the tastes seemed quite bland and unexciting - the exception was the duck, which was fantastic. We didn't get to try the suckling pig or beef ribs, both which I've heard are good, but were a little too pricey for a mostly vego group. The service was also quite slow on our second visit, although it was quite busy so somewhat understandable. Kudos to the management for being such avid supporters of live music in The Penh, and I'm hoping that another visit for dinner will yield a happier tummy.

We stayed at the Hotel Cara Jan,19th and Jan 22-Feb 2.

We had breakfast everyday at Doors. The hotel gave us four meal choices. My favorite Breakfast was the Spanish Omelet. Not sure why it was called that because it was more like a quiche filled with fried cheesy potatoes.Coffee, orange juice and something called brain food smoothie were served with breakfast. Each breakfast came with a half of a baguette

Since we stayed for several days, I tried all four of the breakfast entrees. Everyone of them were very tasty and filling.

We did not have lunch or dinner at the Doors, but did stop in for cocktails. The service was always fantastic. They speak decent English and I had no problems ordering.

When staying at the Hotel Cara, we will dine there again.

Doors is a cool, contemporary tapas resturant serving some of the very best spanish food I have ever tasted. With Spanish management front of house and in the kitchen they're certainly showing their Khamer staff how a resturant should be, and give the staff credit
they're doing a great job.

To top off the food and service, most nights you can be treated to some great music from some of the local talent.

All in all, I can't think of a bad thing to say about the place..... if you're in phnom penh, pay a visit you won't regret it.

It's a bit out of the way in the North of the city near the US Embassy but well worth paying a visit. The interior is really well designed and the bar area looks great. The service was efficient and the Spanish owner/manager made us feel welcome and explained some of the dishes. The food was excellent, between us we had a Russian salad, Spanish omelette, meat croquettes, potato bravas and clams in garlic and white wine sauce. All of it was delicious and reasonably priced, I especially recommend the potato bravas. They have live music/comedians/DJs so we'll come back and see what it's like with an event on and eat some more potato bravas. Only slight downside is the drinks are a little expensive compared to most places in town, but not a great deal more really.

Fusion menu. Also has some pics of some of the food. $19 chili clams with garlic are good. Similarly priced suckling pig was large but skin wasn't flaky. Salad terrific but anything breaded and fried was too salty. Desserts are a nice surprise. Two people with a drink and eating a lot can be under $70. Neighborhood is bit dicey and far - north of Wat Phnom Penh.

Thanks for the great review! We really appreciate people taking the time to tell us what they think about Doors. I noticed that you mentioned the Garlic Chili Clams were $19??!! They are only $5.50 - So if there was an error on your receipt, please bring it in and we would be happy to refund you or compensate you with a voucher. Thanks again, hope to see you back again soon!
