Description: Chez Gaston is a friendly French restaurant. A journey to France for a few hours if you are looking for a lovely ambiance with great French food classics and nice old school French music in the speakers. Staff and owner are more than welcoming and will always let you go with a smile on your face...

“Desappointed”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

If you are not a friend of the owner (jean pierre)...avoid this place....
I had heard about this restaurant but there is really nothing special. Nor in the atmosphere or in the dishes. There really are much better places in PP

“Magnifique!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

Nice little place, friendly owner, good food, not expensive either. Good wine list. We had the duck liver parfait and escargot to share, both were lovely. The mains that we had, the duck, steak, salad, and slow cooked beef were all good. Small criticism was only for the steak, it was cooked perfectly as ordered but it was cut along the grain resulting the meat becoming tough when eaten. Would come back.

“Great French restaurant - note address”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

The food and service were great - we'd go again. The Tripadvisor address is incorrect. The restaurant is in street 15 near the intersection with street 144.

“The best French food we have eaten, don't miss Chez Gaston!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

We ordered a tomato salad, salmon and beef cheek as well as the house red and white. Simple, high-quality ingredients prepared to perfection, a friendly waitress who helped translate the French menu for us and a lovely owner. We'll be back!

“French country cooking, large portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

The interior of the restaurant is not much to look at, and would not be acceptable in France these days. However the French chef knows his trade. The menu is written on chalk boards on the wall and doesn't change. Meat is from the market, in other words from Cambodia, but my beef Tournedos were very good. Try the Chef's salad, but be warned: It is a big portion. If you are a non-smoker you may not be able, or willing, to tolerate the smoking at the tables around you. This is a small restaurant. Prices are adequate, for Cambodia high. Reservations recommended.
