The Place was cosed due to the death of the Kings father, but the roads around the place were closed so one could wonder around the place looking in. It looks remarkable.

There's an entrance fee to this attraction.

The palace grounds is quite huge. It consists of a few buildings, one of which the king resides in.
My tour guide said that there will be a flag on top of the building, which is to signify that the king is currently inside the building.

Do take note of the flag when you are touring the grounds, and the place offers beautiful photography coupled with good weather

As the new King was in residence we would not visit the Royal Palace so only took pictures outside. We did get to see the practice of the guards - this was mass memorial rally to mark 100 days since King Sihanouk’s death.

Take a visit. It's very interesting to see such a huge, temple-like recently constructed palace in the midst of crushing poverty.

A great example of Cambodian heritage and art. Worth visiting just to see the splendor and to wonder...
