“Superb place for lunch”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

I have had lunch in Sophy's many times and often seem to be the only person there. This is a shame as the food is excellent and tastes very fresh and always very good value for money. The lime juice is one of the best I've had in Phnom Penh. I do not hesitate to recommend this place to all.

“Sophy's is a Great Choice”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

A Cambodian friend introduced me to Sophy's and I ended up eating here twice over three days and really enjoyed their heathy and delicious food.

Maybe it was the location (walking distance from my riverfront hotel) or that the owner was in Phnom Penh from America, but the food was especially tasty, prepared in a spotless kitchen and featuring a value-priced variety of Khmer, Thai and Western food. There was also a nice selection of wine and beer.

The restaurant is near the beautiful old post office building, about a block up from the river. If you're looking for a good meal in Phnom Penh, Sophy's is a great choice for lunch or dinner.

“Amazing food, service could use an upgrade, but worth a visit”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Food was off the charts delicious. Worth a visit. Service sort of so so but friendly enough. Great location. I'd like to go back and try all the local dishes!

“Best local food”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

For those travelers interested in trying the best of the local cuisine, this is the place to go. The interior is not stylish or trendy, just clean and rather boring, but the food is of great quality. Try the crispy fresh and light banana-blossom salad or the equally wonderful wing bean salad or any of the curries such as the Penang salmon curry: all are delicious, the portions are huge and there is free ice tea with every meal. The place is owned by former refugees who ended up in Long Beach California where the original Sophy's restaurant is located. There are burgers on the menu plus some other western dishes for those families who have kids with a less adventurous palette.

“Yes you can, Sophy”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Just the last day of 2012, we went again on this very good khmer and thai restaurant. Good location in old-PhnomPenh on most beautiful, colonialstyle postoffice place. The interiour of the restaurant is nice decorated with 100-years-old floor-tyles.we eat thomyam-soup with seafood, noodle-sald with seafood and a sort of khmerstyle roastbeef with salad, very delicious. The Prices are normal and the service is attentive, parking no problem. for people like really autentic khmer and thaifood, they are with Sophy's on the right place.
