Probably between a rating of Average/Good by local standards. Being fixed price, you know exactly what you are up for. We had the opportunity to treat about 20+ locals and everyone enjoyed the variety and quantity. The service and cleaniness of the place was reasonable. There was a good selection of meat, sea food and veg. The choice of soup was excellent as well.
Otherwise, we would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys steamboat.

This is a nice soup break from the normal Khmer foods I love to eat when I am in Phnom Penh and local folks like to go here. Its fixed price per head eat all you want. They put a hot soup bowl boiling in the middle and you can choose two kinds of broth. Then just pick what you want off the conveyer belt of plates as it goes by. This isn't fancy food, just some local fish, seafood and meats and different types of noodles to add. If you are looking for fancy go somewhere else. If you need to have an official meal on business with locals or a staff outing you can come here and everyone can have what they like, but you know in advance what it will cost.

Living in Phnom Penh, this is one of our go-to plaves for comfort food.

Prices are very reasonable, at $8.70/person. The time limit of 100minutes is plenty, we've never come close to staying that long.

You get a choice of 3 broths: suki / tom yum / pork rib. I always get the pork rib one, while the girls usually have tom yum.

As others habe mentioned, the sushi selection isn't very big; HOWEVER, there is a large pister inside of sushi varieties available, and you can point to the ones you want and get them made to order for you - no extra charge, this is included in your buffet.

Hotpot broths are intentionally light in flavour, that's why there's the selection of condiments where the nibblies are: garlic, chilli, pickles, sauces, etc.

And if your favorite soup ingredients keep getting grabbed from the conveyor before they reach you, simply order them from on of the friendly waiters, and he'll bring some directly to your table.

Yes, drink and desert options are a bit limited, but this tends to be the case with many cheaper buffet places in asia, and not enough to dock any stars over.

Plenty of easy parking out the front, a big plus in my book.

US$8.20 per person (cap of 100 minutes) for a buffet hotpot is not expensive by international standard. However, there are very limited varieties of food available. Besides vegetables and noodles, there are only 2 or 3 types of meat and another 2 or 3 types of seafood. If you sit close to the end of the conveyor belt, these meat and seafood dishes would have been taken by people ahead of you and you will have little choice of seeing them. The prawns and squids were not fresh. We had the pork rib soup and tom yam soup as soup base, but both tasted very bland. The sushi section was ok, for someone who is not picky. They also have small sections of fruits, ice cream and cooked food. All with quite limited choice. The manager also bizzarely rejected my seemingly alright US$20 note during payment, claiming that it was 'old'. That particular note, plus many of my other notes in similar condition, was accepted at other restaurant without any problem. Perhaps this restaurant only accepts brand-new notes.
All in all, my experience was so-so.

Not bad. Not great. Nothing local about it other than the staff.

Here is what you get: a hot pot of soup stock and an endless conveyor belt of items to add to it. Several styles of meat, a few styles of greens and corn, some noodles.

Not an impressive array, but enough variety that you won't come close to sampling them all.

Some grocery-store quality sushi and a few appetizers served at a buffet island.

Very, very clean. Everything seemed fresh. Pricey by local standards, $8.70 per person (90 minute cap on sitting time.)

If you're only in town for a few days - go eat at a locals restaurant, even a generic experience near the river is better for a touristy feel.

If you're in town longer and want a nice meal of soup and quantity is important - then you've found your home.

I live here, I'll be back.
