“Very professional yet family atmosphere”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Very warm atmosphere, friendly and very professional service. A bit old but well maintained. Food was good with a wide selection. I was there on business for about 10 days, and it was really great working with the team.
Two drawbacks: swipe-card keys worked OK at first but did not work half of the time after some time so I had to change them (and it was repeated). I would suggest that the hotel should recommend local restaurants with reasonable prices instead of that touristy, rip-off restaurant.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay, and it is well worth having functions at this hotel.

The hotel is well located, next to Wat Phnom and within easy reach of the Royal Palace, museums and central market. We took a tuk-tuk for the day to explore the city and did the same in the evenings to visit restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and everything worked as expected. The staff in the bar and restaurant were charming and the excellent hotel reception staff, in particular Sieng Hom, really went the extra mile to help with our planning. Overall, we had a great visit to this fascinating city and the hotel and its staff were an important part of that.

A very decent hotel within walking distance to the night market and the riverside - if you like walking (it took us about 20 minutes)! Friendly staff, generous bedrooms and a varied breakfast buffet make the stay an enjoyable one.

A reasonable hotel welcoming and clean but there is just something missing ?
Close to the day and night markets .
The riverside is easy to get to in a tuk-tuk
Food was good .
It was an OK hotel, I am sure that there are better hotels .
I haven't much more to say but Trip Advisor says I have to write 200 characters minimum

I liked this hotel: It was clean, the staff was helpful, the breakfast buffet was good (but not amazing), etc. So why not 5 stars? While it's close to Wat Phnom, it's really not close to anything else, and you need to spend some time in tuktuks to get where the action is (riverside). Also, the price is very high for a hotel that is a bit remote. And there was one more big annoyance: We booked a car pickup from the airport, but they never showed. After waiting a while, we called them and they told us just to take a taxi. That's rather inexcusable from a luxury hotel, don't you think? Wat Phnom is a very small temple, BTW, so don't book your stay based on this temple. If I come back to Phnom Penh, I'd choose a hotel on the riverside. There were tons of hotels on the riverside, and that's where all the fun is.

Room Tip: Don't book the car pickup from the airport...they won't show and you'll just have to tak...

We hvae just returned from a Vietnam / Cambodia tour with Archers / Cosmos holidays. all of the 6 hotels we stayed in were excellent apart from Sunway which was dreadful.

The accomodation is not too bad but the service and prices for food and drink were outrageous, to charge approx £6 for a bottle of water you can buy for 50p in the supermarket or £58 for a bottle of wine you can buy for £6 is daylight robbery, most of our group refused to buy any drinks at the hotel.

We were charged for a replacement bed cover that I had dripped a spot of blood on from a minor cut,

When we complianed about being charged all the staff pretended they could not speak English and didn't understand why we didn't think we should pay.

The management were very rude and only spoke English when it suited them

Room Tip: offer a large tip, they are money mad
