The Sunway Hotel is located in the middle of Phnom Penh, adjacent to the US Embassy and Wat Phnom. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Internet is available and cable television with multiple english channels. The facilities are clean and nice, the staff are mutli-lingual and helpful. There is a restaurant and lounge, but expect hotel prices in both. Breakfast was included in the room rate and offered many choices on a buffet. There is a fitness center and spa located in the lower level of the hotel. It would be nice if this facility had a pool. Conveniently located within a short walk or tuk-tuk ride to the riverfront strip of restaurants and nightlife.

Room Tip: Floors 4 and 5 are non-smoking.

Clean rooms but need updating. All staff very friendly, Good location to the sights, breakfast was great with a good choice of Cambodian and International dishes. .Central market and Sorya shopping mall are within a 10 minute walk, or there are plenty of tuk tuks.

Nice hotel, clean with comfy beds, looking a little tired though, they could really do with switching on more lighting downstairs as it has a slightly gloomy feel as you enter. Good location, you can walk to the major sights if you are a bit of a walker, or take a tuk tuk. Staff were lovely and helpful.
NO POOL. Wow, this is a major oversight IMHO as it was the middle of winter and hot hot hot. Perhaps the rainy season is too rainy for a pool. Raffles 2 blocks down has 2 pools.

We stopped off here overnight on our way to Siem Reap. From the outside the hotel look lovely but inside the rooms were a bit tired and dated. We had the beer buffet at the hotel for dinner which was good value. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice and good quality food.

The Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh was a good first stop for my very short stay in Cambodia. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, although there was a charge for using wifi. I find this offensive, as wifi is as much a part of the travel experience today as electricity or water at a hotel, and costs little to provide (In fairness, I will say that I received a prompt response to my comment card in which I said the same thing, and was told that there would be no charge for wifi in the near future. And the wifi at the Sunway in Hanoi was free, although a voucher was needed). Otherwise, comfortable, clean, well-staffed, and convenient location. With free wifi, I'd go back.
