We made it just in time to enjoy the last of the happy hour. The we ate from the tapas menu which was delicious, we probably ordered too much food (6 tapas) because we expected them to be quite small but we ate it all as it was so delicious. the service was excellent and the setting is lovely, nice music, part indoor, part outdoor and comfy seats. This is a place that we will return to.

Went there with friends on a friday evening. Nice place, charming with a good Canary Island atmosphere. The place was nearly full.
Had a pretty poor GT. Less ice, more gin, bigger glass and a slice of lime please. Not exactly a hard recipe. The others had draught lukewarm beer in the smallest beerglasses I have ever seen. Get proper glasses and a chill your beer.
Tapas; Good tortilla, good chicken croquetas, nice manchego, disappointing broken egg, uinteresting Calamares, surprisingly nice gambas pil-pil. All in all not a bad meal had it not been for the terrible wooden benches, which are too low for the tables. Ended up paying 65 USD for 3 persons, which is pretty steep in Phnom Penh.

Either go for the sofa or some of the cushioned chairs. We took our coffee and desert somewhere else because of the poor seating.

I sadly watched the steady decline of Pacharan so when I heard that The Latin Quarter was opening with part of the same menu I wasn't really sure what to expect.

The setting is very central which is excellent although the decor is fairly haphazard. I had a selection of tapas and a tuna tartare and the food was of very poor quality unfortunately. The bread was stale, the chorizon so salty as to be almost uneatable and the calamari was served with an uninspiring (garlic?) paste. The tuna tartar was okay but definitely not a highlight.

Unfortunately the search for good Spanish food in Phnom Penh continues...

Popped in for lunch and had a USD$6.50 tasting plate. A good variety of meaty goodness washed down with a couple of cold beers. Very nice.

Looking for a great steak in Phnom Penh? The latin Quarter offers an outstanding start, with either a Béarnaise or Blue Cheese dressing and home cut thick fries and salad. Tender and cooked to perfection, I ate there three times and every steak was as well prepared as the first.

Goes well with the Chilean Reds on the wine list, or a Whisky Sour (my preference) mixed by your unmissably large and genial host, Maza Rodrigo .

Atmosphere is great, food utterly dependable and only 5 minutes by Tuk Tuk from the waterfront area ($2.00 fare). Loved it!
