We walked the full length of the promenade one evening to get to the market which was a very enjoyable experience. What was refreshing was that this market was obviously for the locals and so we were not pestered to buy (as in Vietnam) so this left us free to wander and look. We bought a few things and battered the prices down which made everything very cheap. Be careful though as I bought a silver bracelet and when I got back to put it on I noticed the clasp must have fallen off - fotunately it was only a few dollers but be aware. You certainly see life here and although we didn't try the food there was planty on offer. A nice experience
