“Temple attraction”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

The Temple of the Lotus Blossoms is a wondrous sight to see. My friends and I enjoyed every bit of walking around the old temple and assimilating the history that is was able to inform us with. The area is huge and the buildings had a school in it. The downside of our exposure though, was that there were no signs in English. I hope we didn’t disturb the monks that were out and about walking and going around the temple because we were a bit rowdy around the place and they might find disrespect in our behavior. They didn’t scold us though but I felt uncomfortable about the idea. Experience the Temple of the Lotus Blossoms was a sight that is a great visit in Phnom Penh.

“Least favorite Phnom Penh temple”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

probably my least favorite temple in PP. The place was a bit old and run down and the decoration looked cheap and not as well done as other temples in the area. Wat Lanka was a bit farther, and just as empty but spectacular.

“Off the tourist trail”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

Not generally visisted by the western tourists so a peaceful walk through whilst able to watch the monks naturally going aboyt their daily chores and prayers. So unspolit and very peaceful.

“Beautiful, serene and very special wat”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

Maybe one of less known wats in Phnom Penh, nevertheless, a very beautiful one, with some special calm to it an oasis in the middle of busy Phnom Penh. It was great to see the monks who were very friendly and explained all what is needed to know. I appreciated their kindness.

“Big temple complex”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

Wat Botum, or the Temple of the Lotus Blossoms, is a big complex with several separate temple buildings, stupas and other buildings, including a school. While there were no signs in English, the gates were open so I took a walk through. Expect to see monks at rest in the complex, going about their business or just sitting in shadow out of the daytime heat. It was an interesting and stress-free insight into a Cambodian temple. Well worth a look, especially as Wat Botum is nice and close to the Royal Palace. The are no ticket offices, no entry fee and no guards watching your every move - a nice change!
