we stayed here for 3 nights in jan and found the place to be very nice. very comfy rooms. staff are very helpful and always willing to offer suggestions and help you out. rooms were quiet which was a nice suprise from the chaos happening outside on the streets. The food was ok. Not great but nice enough. would reccomend staying at this hotel. was a 15min walk down to the river or palace or to the markets or a short tuk tuk ride if too hot to walk so in a veyr handly location.

We stayed in the Monsoon wedding room which is a 2 bedroom, sub penthouse kind of room.

I stayed with 2 mates and all i can say was this place was fantastic.

We met both owner, They were hospitable, polite and really made us feel like we were guests and they were there to do anything and everything to make our stay better.

THe night before finding this place we were scammed by a tuk tuk driver who took us to a hotel far out of town which was just inconvenient and not worth the money. There was alot of scamming outside with tuk tuk drivers trying to get the most money out of (as is expected in asia) but the hotel kept these people away so that we could enjoy our holiday.

The customer service agent at the front (i dont remember his name) was fantastic. I recall seeing him doing studies around hospitality during the nights when we were staggering in drunk 3-4am in the morning. All i can say is he did a fantastic job. We spent alot of time drinking and eating at the hotel and at no time did we feel we werent looked after. Both he and the other staff took care of us really well.

Our rooms were well present, very modern, very clean and just some where you would be happy to stay. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh fruits and linen etc.

I have decided when I go back to Cambodia i will stay here again, it has definitely impressed me.

thanks for making our stay memorable.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms are like penthouse suites, but the others are smaller and just as nice.

A little late review and we do apologise.

Where do we begin? The hotel decor and facilities were one of a kind. The staff there were pampering, polite and sincere. The food served to us were delicious and well presented.

When you walk into the hotel from the street, it feels like you entered another world. The smell was so alluring and teasing, it beckons you to stay just a little while more. Modern chic is what comes to mind when I look at the wall, floor, paintings and the various decor. The background music piped in makes you wanna lounge there and just chill. So chilaxing .... Each room has its own theme (Not just some boring number:p We stayed at Casablanca) The apartment style makes it so homely especially when you want to make coffee early in the morning. The bath is so unique with its open concept! Makes it ideal for romantic couples;) The lounge setting was so awesome. Plenty of space to seat with its ultra cool coffee table.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating to our needs. Be it making spa appointment and ensuring we get there, bringing a lovely bottle of wine (delicious white wine!)to the room or ferrying us to their boutique shop (free of charge). We happened to arrive a day after serious protest and the staff ensured we were well aware on the map where the police are and where we should avoid. The first day, we didn't leave the hotel but just had a nice romantic candlelight dinner on their rooftop restaurant.

Up there, we fell in love with their tasty traditional khmer food. Their beef salad is a true gem that we love together with their seafood risotto. We both love their unique table mats, napkin holders and sofabeds (don't really know what to call them.)

Ahhh.......We definitely would want to head back there again. But in the spirit of wanting to improve, here are a few suggestions:

1. There was a safe in the room but it was not fixated to anything. I think it should be fixated to the wall or floor of the cupboard. But we felt safe:)
2. Have an option so that the shower can be hands free. Like a fixture on the wall.
3. We can't think of anything else:)

Thank you La Maison dambre for an exquisite stay during our time there (4th Jan) We will be back:)

My partner and I and our 18 year old son stayed in a 2-bedroom suite for just one night prior to departing for home. The room was luxurious and comfortable, the staff were extremely friendly, spoke good English, and were also efficient in arranging transportation and providing advice. We were provided with a generous fruit plate on arrival. We had a late departure and they generously allowed us to stay in a room until late afternoon so we could shower and repack after a day of tourism. Although we spent more on this hotel than any other during our S.E. Asia trip, we felt that it was a great value. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We saw Monsoon Wedding (2 bedroom) and Casablanca (1 bedroom) and both were large, luxurious, and at...

Stayed there for New Year's Eve celebrations... large rooms, great design, near the main city attractions and the river front, very convenient for our family trip. As a kicker, nice rooftop for lazy lunches or pre-dinner drinks... perfect to enjoy PP atmosphere.

We stayed in the New York room for one night while in Phnom Penh and wished we had more nights here. The room is so big and very tastefully decorated. I know what smell the other reviewers are complaining about - it comes from outside but I found that this was the general smell in phnom penh as another hotel we entered to use the bathroom had the same smell.

Really have nothing to complain about here but do wish that breakfast was included in the room rate.

Definitely a must stay while in Phnom Penh

The entire staff made me feel welcomed and went out of their way to accommodate me. When I talked to the staff you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. The property is first class and made my trip perfect. The only problem was it was too short. Definitely will stay there on next trip to Cambodia.
