The hotel and room are comfortable and clean, although the place does not look quite as nice as in the website photos. The service was generally good and prompt. The location is far from the tourist spots. It is suitable for those that are in the area for volunteer or other work reasons, and need a comfortable and clean room with 24 hour wifi, and at a reasonable price. I booked a room through a hotel booking website which did not include breakfast (at the hotel, the walk-in rate was cheaper!). Interestingly, I did not see anyone having breakfast in the hotel during the 3 mornings I was there. There are nearly no meal options in the vicinity except for some street vendors on the main street. No shopping options within walking distance except for Heng Ly market which is more for locals. Vacationers and holiday makers would do better to be closer to the downtown and riverfront areas. I asked about late checkout after 12 noon: it will cost additional half a night's rate till 4 pm, after which a full night's charge will be imposed. The hotel sells dried preserved fruits (pineapple, mango, papaya) and ginger from a company that employs landmine victims. They are cheaper than what you can get at the supermarkets, are good as gifts for friends and family back home, and support a good cause.
