Owner description: Daughters of Cambodia is a social enterprise empowering victims of trafficking to leave the sex industry through alternative employment. At the Daughters Visitor Centre, visitors can gain insight into the endemic of trafficking that is ravaging Cambodia while learning more about what Daughters is doing to stop it. Moreover, visitors can actually participate in our work by frequenting one of the three social enterprise businesses housed at the Visitor Centre — our fair-trade shop, cafe or women's spa — all of which provide former victims of trafficking with the vital income and skills to build thriving lives for themselves outside the horrors of the sex industry. To see the cafe's menu or a list of the spa's services, find the Daughters of Cambodia Visitor Centre on Facebook. If you have a large party, please call ahead of time to allow us to better accommodate you.

It's a great idea but the stuff is expensive and I did not find them too nice. I really wanted to buy something but I did not find anything. They should come up with better ideas for stuff and also better designs...either something totally ethnic/authentic or totally edgy and cool. Was disappointed

Worth a visit to buy original Tshirts and hand made gifts. Bit pricier than markets but makes for a lovely gift with thought. Quite tasteful.

We had visited this center...to shop some souvenirs...I must say that the initiative is great idea...
But we are not all that fascinated by the stuff that is being sold out there...perhaps their new hotel may be a better option to check out....

We visited the café/center at 178 Street.
Because of the work that they perform this café is a must. The food and drink is very acceptable.
It always seems busy, this is probably because it is just across the road from the National Museum (but note - not the entrance). It can also get very warm inside. That said we had a pleasant lunch there. You see exactly where your money is going. Without the support of tourists they could not carry out their function. Go and give your support !

I went to Daughters with two others. We had pedicures and manicures with patterns painted on toes. The girls were professional and friendly. They had limited English but communication wasn't a problem. We were able to buy coffees from the cafe and have them while we were in the salon. Great coffee! A very relaxing experience. Great fair trade products to buy in the shop as well. Some shirts, jewellery, scarves etc. we visited again with two adults and two little girls but there was a mix up with the appointment which I made over the phone. They had only booked for 1 and we wanted 4 so if phone booking make sure they understand exactly what you are booking for. Booking in person at the shop would be advised then you can be sure.
