Owner description: Daughters of Cambodia is a social enterprise empowering victims of trafficking to leave the sex industry through alternative employment. At the Daughters Visitor Centre, visitors can gain insight into the endemic of trafficking that is ravaging Cambodia while learning more about what Daughters is doing to stop it. Moreover, visitors can actually participate in our work by frequenting one of the three social enterprise businesses housed at the Visitor Centre — our fair-trade shop, cafe or women's spa — all of which provide former victims of trafficking with the vital income and skills to build thriving lives for themselves outside the horrors of the sex industry. To see the cafe's menu or a list of the spa's services, find the Daughters of Cambodia Visitor Centre on Facebook. If you have a large party, please call ahead of time to allow us to better accommodate you.

Went there with my family. We had a good time, and the staff took time to have fun with my children.
Our coffee were fine, the cakes fantastic and the quality of the T-shirts on sale at the basement were excellent.

Went to the shop with my family and Found lots og presents. Afterwards we had fantastic sandwiches in the cafe upstairs. Super friendly staff, great with kids.
The only thing I really missed was sine kind of enlightenement of what the organisation does. There was a little bit about trafficking in general on the wall but no more.

Hi cfenst,

I'm so glad you loved your food and were able to find some great presents to take home from our Visitor Centre. Unfortunately, it looks like you must have missed our media room, where we have several videos on display explaining Daughters' mission and operations in greater detail. It's located in a room off the landing midway up the stairs between the shop and cafe.

But if you've already left Phnom Penh and you're still interested in learning more about Daughters, the video is posted on our website as well — that way you can give your friends the full story behind their presents.

If you're ever in Cambodia again, we really do hope to see you. I hope the rest of your travels here were enjoyable.

Thank you,

Amanda King

We visited Daughters having read about it on TA and also recommended by a family member who had been here. We had lunch in the cafe, and the food was delicious. We were served by a very shy young girl who did a wonderful job. We also purchased some jewellery in the shop downstairs and had four young girls completing the transaction, some learning and some were teaching, all happy and smiling. We enjoyed visiting Daughters are wish them ongoing success.

I full support the initiative behind this set up. :) Great array of items on sale on 1st floor. Includes pouches, accessories, cushion covers, Tshirts (male/female).

Pls do visit the 2nd floor to try the fish burger. really decent! Staff are attentive and pleasant.

More of a shop than a visitors centre but a worthy cause nonetheless. The shop has lots of hand made bits and bobs to help support the charity
