“Haute Cousine italienne”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

On the 25.April 2013 we went for dinner ( four persons) at this really luxerious restaurant. On the entrance we get greated friendly and get guide to the table. The Decoration on table is perfect, first get a cold towel and a welcome prosecco-drink of the house. We ordered for starter beef-carpaccio, potato-Soup with octopus-tails, mozarella-cheese (from cambodian Water-Buffalo) mit basil and baby-tomatos all delicious ! For maincourse v'ev got red snapper, beef, veal with spagetti, vegetables, salads really perfect cooked and teriffic taste ! The wine selection are outstanding and the wine by class in the right temperature. The service is one of the best in PhnomPenh. At the end, we got a really nice - goodby - be one of the managers and the lady's get a small present. Pricewise this place is in the 4-5 star categorie, we paid all in all 250.--USD, but this is OK for such a high-class restaurant ! I' will give them one and half Michelin-Star for PhnomPenh !

“different but good”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Nice ambience, comfortable seats, friendly and obviously highly motivated restaurant manager and team although the girl who brought us our pre meal bread basket was obviously new as she apologised that there was only olive oil to dip the bread in and no butter. She then proceeded to tell us that this was a new trend started at Do Forni. As we live several months of the year in Italy we just smiled politely but it did make us laugh quietly.
The food was not really Italian but a version of it. It was still tasty but not authentic Itailan. The buffala mozzarella was certainly suffering as a result of it being frozen to get it to Cambodia and the parma ham was glassy showing that it was being stored too warm. Still recommended howver.

“Some of the best service to rival the top restaurants”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Not sure what the previous review was about we were there this week and ordered the same meal and be didn't pay anything close to what he did. I understand therevhas been a change in management since they were last there so I dont think this would happen now.

The service here was amazing so attentive and I couldn't ask for more. Great team of individuals who I feel really want to know the answer when asking the question "How are you today?"

Would definitely go back if in the area.

“Delighful culinary experience”
Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

Do Forni's lived up to the excellent recommendations given by previous diners. The room is modern, warm and stylish with the crisp linen draped tables well-spaced for conversation. The menu featured both classic Italian dishes as well as dishes with a lighter touch. All the dishes we sampled used fresh ingredients, were well seasoned and prepared and were artfully presented. The tomatoes and basil especially were excellent; tasted freshly picked from a local garden. Complimenting the room and food was the outstanding wait staff. They were welcoming, attentive to our needs, and thoroughly professional. Their English language skills were noteworthy. Do Forni's is a restaurant we recommend wholeheartedly and trust to visit again soon.
