“Modern, white French-style hotel”

Cozy white colonial-design mason hotel with a high sealing, white and dark wood. Very comfortable, big enough space. 24-hours pool service is really nice, as even after a diner, we could have a short swimming time to cool down with some cocktails. 4-5 choices for a breakfast is very nice too at their modern cafe and they were very delicious! The owner and staffs were very welcomed us with smile. They specially prepared a rose bouquet for our honeymoon gift. Just one bothering part was noise from street. From around 6am, you will hear lots of bike's noise from outside, and it woke me up... Other than this point, even it was not too long stay, but it was very nice time we spent. Also, we met a very nice, decent, safe drive tukutuku driver outiside of hotel, and he gave a whole day trip till late night with very reasonable price. I do not have his name, but he has #9 in his bike and you will feel secured rather than having any tukutuku.

Room Tip: pool side might be more quiet.

For two nights, we enjoyed a Deluxe Room on the fourth floor of this former home. The elevator only went to the third, but no one seemed to mind, using the grand winding staircase which served all floors from the spacious lobby. Our room was generous, with a balcony which overlooked a long pool, popular with those looking for exercise. The pool was set in a garden designed to provide secluded sun-beds for those more interested in relaxing.

Breakfast was served in an attached bright, modern cafe, with a menu. There was a choice of about half a dozen combinations, made to order. The hotel location was such that very good restaurants for both lunch and dinner were within walking distance, as was fine shopping.

An appreciated difference from every other hotel we experienced in Indochina was free soft drinks and water from the room mini-bar!

The staff were professional, in keeping with the elegant surroundings. A great two days!

We had a wonderful stay at the White Mansion. As soon as you step into the garden you feel relaxed and at ease…stepping into the lobby you are greeted with warm smiles and it’s a peaceful retreat from the heat and hustle of the city.

We stayed in a Junior Suite, however unfortunately although we had a balcony it was facing a solid brick wall, so not much of a view. However all in all we had a lovely stay…the breakfast was delicious and hotel spotlessly clean. The pool was wonderful to relax in after a long day seeing the sights . The staff were consistently helpful and courteous.

Would definitely recommend the White Mansion

We spent four days at the White Mansion at the end of April 2013. It was a very enjoyable stay and the facilities and service were excellent, particularly in terms of value for money.

The staff were always cheerful and helpful and no task was too much for them. The facilities were very good and we understood that the building was previously the American Embassy. It is very well located for visiting the Royal Palace and museum (walking distance) and the other major attractions in the city.

Very hard to find fault.

After 5 hours bus journey from Siem Reap to phonm phen, my boyfriend and I both felt very tired and dusty. As we arrived in the Hotel, we were immediately welcomed by a cup of cold water melon juice and fresh wet towels by friendly and polite hotel staffs (I felt so much relaxed after that!) Our hotel room is stylish and very spacious, our double bed is almost king size. Mattress is firm but comfortable and sheets are very soft and clean. Hotel receptionists are always very helpful and knowledgeable, had given us lots of tips of where to shop and eat. Hotel manager is a very friendly and competent French man who loves Phonm Phen as his second home. Their breakfast also very good with mix choices of Asian and Western styles.

Room Tip: Ask recption to book a taxi for you to airport instead of booking a Tuktuk, it's probably same r...

Stayed here on anniversary weekend without the kids ! It was perfect in that respect. Well located at the quieter end of Street 240. Lovely building. Rooms tasteful and clean. Breakfasts very nice. Staff friendly. Spa massage was spot on. Would definitely recommend as a couples place.

We found Phnom Penh charming in a relatively underdevelopd way. It probably wont stay like this for much longer given some obvious construction. The poverty is quite striking and heart breaking at times - but there are lots of opportunities to put back with lots of non profit shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: Room 212 was at the back and reasonably quiet.

My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Cambodia. It's a stunning hotel, our room was very spacious and wonderfully comfortable. They really go the extra mile here though in terms of service. Every member of staff we interacted with from the moment we arrived was exceptionally friendly and helpful. So many little personal touches too, they had rose petals on bed for my wife, in a love heart.
It's a super location as well, you can easily walk to restaurants/bars etc. Although we took Tuc-Tucs which were called by assistants at the door when we asked. As we only had a short stay we didn't use pool but it looked great. Our only regret was we did not stay longer in Phnom Penh and this beautiful hotel.. If in Phnom Penh I recommend you stay here if at all possible.
