Anaora is not badly located being near the National Museum and after exploring the museum we went for lunch. The staff were ok, but their English was limited, it was difficult to make ourselves understood when we wanted something slightly different to what was on the menu. But the worst was the fact that we had to wait 45 minutes for our meals after ordering, and the restaurant was not at all busy. When the meals finally arrived they were ok but our appetites had been lost.

Based on other reviews we were expecting something much better. The waiting staff were not very efficient, getting our drinks order wrong twice and 2 out of 5 meals were wrong also. Most of us tried the Khmer food which we found be be pretty bland, but one of our group who is French decided she wanted some home comfort food. She also commented that her dish tasted very little to how it should. Finally when we received the bill they had overcharged us by $5 - a genuine mistake perhaps?

We were getting a little tired of Amok and curry after 2 weeks of traveling and a nice French meal sounded really good. This restaurant is located near the National Museum and has both French and Khmer cuisine. Everything was great and we highly recommend a visit to Anaora. P.S. We went twice in one day.

Very continental style restaurant, but with a decent local selection as well. Very Clean, well located and easy to find near the entrance to the National Museum (don't be fooled by GoogleMaps, its hit was 6 long, hot blocks off the mark). Good espresso too, beans are from Lao Republic.

We ate here based on other's reviews and we were very happy we did. They have good selection of Khmer food along with some very nice French options. We had a ginger chicken and a cheese gallette, both were great.
The blended fruit drinks were some of the best we've ever had! For dessert we had creme brûlée and an amazing mousse chocolate, we will visit again for sure. Prices were very reasonable.

Thank Nick S
