Description: We look forward to welcoming you at Tacos Kokopelli Mexican Restaurant (previously Alley Cat Cafe). Kokopelli is a humpbacked flute playing fertility deity who presides over agriculture, especially the corn and flour that are the basis for our tortillas. Come and enjoy fresh local Cambodian ingredients in authentic Mexican dishes, or enjoy Kokopelli's trickster side in Asian fusion that pairs the most delicious regional dishes with Mexican presentations. Kokopelli's musical nature is manifested in our weekly Sunday Sundowner Sessions jam and open mic hosted by Joe Wrigley, and LIVE music nights on Fridays. At Tacos Kokopelli we are committed to doing what's right for the environment, not because it's trendy or hip, but because it's the right thing to do. Our menu showcases fresh local produce, focusing on sustainable meats and including vegetarian and vegan options. We are not using plastic water bottles, and will be offering free chilled water instead. Our lighting is comprised of low energy and LED bulbs and we are reducing our energy use wherever possible. Our used oil goes to Naga biofuels for safe recycling, and all our cans and paper / cardboard is recycled too. For delivery we will use biodegradable containers in place of styrofoam, and we think that's a very good thing, and hope you do too! See you soon at Tacos Kokopelli.

“Top food, top guy”
Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

The best part about Alley Cat café is finding it. I know it's street 19, I've been Cambodia and Alley cat cafe so many times now it should be easy. But, it's always evening when I go and drivers just have no idea where it is so you are relying on your own experience which has probably had a few drinks by now also. Usually find it and am always happy to be there. As for the food, I'm sure your not interested what I had to eat. Make your own mind up. You won't be disappointed.
Phnom Penh has an annual chilli cook off and the cat usually comes out up there.
Will return Christmas. May bring my gps this time.

We're always happy when customers enjoy what we do. We would be easier to find if this website could put us on the map in the correct location. We are next to the Blue Lime hotel, in a big alley off of st19. It's easiest to use Google Maps.

“May try them again”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

I had a taco, a burrito and chili cheese fries delivered. The staff spoke good English, were friendly and got my order right. The chili cheese fries hit the spot....excellent. The taco and burrito had too much cumin and overly chunky onions and salsa. I hear the burgers are good and may try them again. However, no Mexican food for me. I feel it is rather expensive for what you get.

“Great Burgers”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

This place was great, the burgers weren't the best I have ever tasted but they were great for Phnom Penh and what they lacked in flavour they made up for with quantity. I had the quadrupole bypass which lived up to its name, 4 patties, 4 bits of bacon and 4 slices of cheese. A great little place hidden inside a Phnom Penh alley.

“Not fancy but great food!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We have been to Cambodia 3 times and each time we spend a few nights in Alley Cat.
The food always is great in taste and doesn't play havoc with you which is always a bonus when traveling in Cambodia.
We recommend to all our friends who visit Cambodia with us.
Its not a fancy restaurant but the food sure tastes awesome.
We usually have the Fajita El Loco and the margaritas.

“Good fish tacos”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Ordered the fish tacos, love the fresh made tortillas, too bad the nachos weren't made with freshly fried chips. I would come back for the tacos.
