second hotel on my second night in Phnom Penh. The first hotel was a nightmare, luckily i found this hotel for the same price as the first one. It was clean. i had a room with window, so it get kinda noisy during the day. but i was out most of the time and only be back for sleep, and it was already quiet by that time. Close to Muslim restaurants (while eating here, i managed to arranged a US$5 tuk tuk ride to the airport early next morning), close to the New Market, easy tuk tuk access.this hotel requires you to leave the key everytime you go out. im not sure why but none of my things were touched.

The location of this hotel is good right next to the central market however it's no where near the travellers area so if that's what you are wanting look elsewhere.
The rooms were spacious and clean, serviced everyday which was good.
The room we stayed in was facing out onto the front of the street. Noisy is an understatement. Literally all night there is beep beep beep of horns from traffic outside. Even with ear plugs. It feels like the window is open.
When we asked reception for a map they tried to charge us 3 dollars. Yeah right. You can get them for free anywhere else.
So overall very mixed feelings about this hotel, the rooms were nice but the noise unbearable.

A bit of negligence or mistake from Agoda.com regarding Phnom Penh airport transfer to city hotel, luckily there is a taxi (US$9) or Tuk-Tuk (US$7) service offered to arriving passengers near the exit. Arriving at the hotel, surprised to receive a welcoming reception first from the entrance or door-guard plus a porter to bring up your baggages up to second floor. Disadvantage is no elevator but a human one makes one feel slightly better because you still have to walk to 2nd floor. Toilet and bathroom are clean with those necessary toiletries. Hotshower is good and tv channels are acceptable with sport & movies in English otherwise dubbed in Cambodian. There is a 24 hours CCTV security on all floors. On the whole, this hotel is near to almost everything, sight-seeing etc and moreover if you are taking the Mekong Express Limo Bus to Siem Reap, there is free shuttle transport or pick-up to any hotel in Phnom Penh. Just ask the reception to call or assist you with all types of arrangement. We had a good Tuk-Tuk driver who sent us around to all those places we wanted to see and his price was reasonable for only US$7 per hour. Once arrived at hotel if you need a reliable Tuk-Tuk driver to bring you around, ask the hotel receptionist to help you call this driver Hung;Telno:097 98 444 98 or 090 98 08 33. On the whole,I would recommend this economical hotel in central Phnom Penh aprox. US$25per night where one can feel safe & free at all times. This hotel is situated near a market, can be a problem for light-sleepers but for us after a day'.s walking,we slept like a rock, otherwise ask for a room facing away from the market. There is a mini-supermarket next door to buy mineral water etc.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the market on the south side if you are a light-sleeper. Corner suites are larg...
