“Rare combination of french food and good value”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Le Pleine Lune is a small place with a couple of tables inside and 3-4 more outside just back from the footpath. There are enough plants around to make it feel like you are in a restaurant and not right on the road.
The menu if French (steak, frogs legs, chicken in creamy sauce etc) and generic Asian (noodles, fried rice) and a daily special was offered which 2 of us had - a huge portion of chicken. My steak was cooked to perfection and pepper sauce very good. The frogs legs were peeled (rare in Cambodia) and large. Meals are mostly under $10
The wines available are reasonable - only marked up about 50% from supermarket prices.

All in all very good food and nice atmosphere. Will go back.

“French home cocking!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Small genuine little place.
Cooks a few dishes a day like a genuine local bistro. Wonderful staff who have passion for their food. Got a taster of their fried frog legs, WOW!
Best meal we had during our 8 days in C.

I really like "La Pleine Lune" next to Cinema Lux, on street 154, not a bar, but a small streetside restaurant run by charming Franco -Khmer cook Davy (and her sometimes grumpy partner Jean Pierre). Nice French food comme chez Maman at decent prices (6-10 usd). Predominantly French clientele, as you would expect.
Regulars are updated for the daily specials by sms : "Aujourd'hui .... Langue de boeuf sauce cornichon, 8,00 dollars ...bon appetit!"

“Outstanding food, service and ambience”
Reviewed May 7, 2012

I recently was unfortunately stuck in Phnom Penh overnight but in this case it was one of e best things I experienced on a recent trip to Vietnam and Cambodia due to finding this gem of a restaurant in Phnom Penh.
The chef and her husband own this small restaurant and they gave me one of the best restaurant experiences of my life.
The food is refreshingly simple and beautifully prepared, the menu is quite comprehensive but I asked the chef to just cook me what she felt like and the result was absolutely beautiful food, perfectly cooked and balanced for seasoning and flavours.
I would go back to Phnom Penh just to eat there again.
