Description: Armand's classic menu, which includes steak, duck, baked Alaska and unique personal touch have provided the solid foundations on which his Phnom Penh reputation has been built. Come anytime, you can get a tournedos rossini at 11pm if you want to... With the grace of a master artisan, Armand works before his guests splashing on cognac into a pan before setting it alight and frying the tenderloin in a blue glow. As the flames flicker out, Kampot pepper sauce is added to the pan and Fois Gras is folded in. The meat, ever centre stage, is cooked in the sauce, reaching perfection before being plated. Busy each night with friendly people, you will never regret your visit at Armand's Bistro...

“Fantastic Food, a must if you like steak!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2013

This was the second time I have been here and once gain I found the food very good, and a great value for money. I organized a golf tournament in PP and brought 7 of my friends to this place and everyone loved the food. I will always go back to Armand if I am in Phnom Penh, it is a casual bistro type place, not far from the river.

The one thing I don't like is when we asked Armand about which wine he would recommend, the said "the most expensive of course". Well, you would think that was said in a joking tone, but not at all. Anyway, not a big deal, but a little help would have been appreciated.

“the onion soup is worth the visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

I stumbled across this place. Lovely - the onion soup was the best I've had and I've had it everywhere. The steak was above average but not sensational. Still a lovely place

“Great host Brilliant food and a superb wine collection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013 via mobile

When in Phnom Phen visit this restaurant, the owner Armand is a very friendly host that speaks Khmer, French and English fluently. We started with gooseliver and a bottle of Crozes Hermitage both were very good but what followed was the best main course and wine I had for ages.
The cote de boeuf for two was simply brilliant and the Cote Roti heaven! We asked Armand to noin us for a glass had some wonderful discussions and he even offered us another Cote Roti
Will definitely go back there before my return home

“The best restaurant in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

Now this is a 5 star restaurant. We spend a few splendid evening here and we felt in love with this place. They don’t have a chef, they have a magician that will prepare the best food you’ve ever tasted. This is a simple place but excellent, the jazz music will set a delightful atmosphere. Here you can find better French cuisine than in France. This place is a good refuge and a great place to discover Europe style in the middle of Cambodia. We had a perfect froi gras with a fine wine and it was a real feast, and also the steak is very good. You will quickly be mesmerized by this place and will make you come back again.

“Best Steak in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

Although a little on the pricey side, this was a great night out. Best steak In Phnom Penh, and maybe the most fun I have had dining out in a long time. The owner is a lovely guy, and the service was fantastic. A special treat!
