Description: Armand's classic menu, which includes steak, duck, baked Alaska and unique personal touch have provided the solid foundations on which his Phnom Penh reputation has been built. Come anytime, you can get a tournedos rossini at 11pm if you want to... With the grace of a master artisan, Armand works before his guests splashing on cognac into a pan before setting it alight and frying the tenderloin in a blue glow. As the flames flicker out, Kampot pepper sauce is added to the pan and Fois Gras is folded in. The meat, ever centre stage, is cooked in the sauce, reaching perfection before being plated. Busy each night with friendly people, you will never regret your visit at Armand's Bistro...

“Best Steak in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

Although a little on the pricey side, this was a great night out. Best steak In Phnom Penh, and maybe the most fun I have had dining out in a long time. The owner is a lovely guy, and the service was fantastic. A special treat!

“a quick detour to Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

this small, quiet place was a refuge from the bustle of the surrounding streets, and served wonderfully prepared and presented French dishes. While I wanted to experience Khmer food on my trip, it was fun on a night out to switch to European flavor sensation.

“Enjoyable night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

The signature steak dish and the presentation at the table were superb. The family atmosphere with expat locals dropping in for a drink before riding home on the motorbikes was terrific.

“Very tender steaks and delicious onion soup”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

I very much enjoyed my meal here. I took my Cambodian friend. It was a little funny eating steak from Australia as an Australian in Cambodia, but they were absolutely tender and delicious, although my friend found part of his a little too rare.

The service was amusing and we had a joke about the fiery Armand. Unfortunately I didn't get to see this side. ;) However the steaks did take a while, which was interesting because they did despite Armand chatting to friends and seemingly having a rest.

All in all terrific traditional French food and by Australian standards very good value.
