I decided to try a last minute sunset cruise and remembered the Butterfly reviews from TA so called them. $19USD included trip, one beer, and round trip in tuk tuk. Only bad part, get clear info on where tuk tuk guy wll get you. I was looking for tuk tuk in front of hotel but he parked down the street and we were essentially standing next to each other for 10 minutes not knowing.

There isn't a ton to see on the sunset cruise, and clouds even hampered that. But crew was very friendly and informative. And river breeze was nice change after city heat!! I bet a cruise during rainy season may be different because river is about 15 feet higher then so you may be able to see more that temple rooftops.

Boat seemed clean and well maintained, and it has a full toilet on board as well, so enjoy the $2 Angkors all you want!!

We had a group of 14 and we did an evening river cruise, expecting a so-so experience. Boy were we surprised when we got our own private boat equipped with a tons of comfy seating (including a fun day-bed at the back of the boat) and we LOVED the cruise. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the sunset was breathtaking.

We took the sunrise cruise with the Butterfly crew and liked it so much that we went back in the evening for the sunset trip. Loved both for different reasons. Our guide Kim spoke great english and was a perfect host with his wife and the captain along, we were well looked after. In the morning we were the only two passengers and felt very special. Thank you to The Butterfly for a wonderful and memorable day.
