“Good hotel in the central market area”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

It is a bit strage to sleep in a room with no window but very good sleep.
Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Prices are also affordable.

Had a good stay here for 4 days. VERY good cafe with free breakfast. Same food every day really but still good. From the airport it takes about 30 mins. Close to bars etc. The rooms are adequate.

I have stayed there on may occasions and have never been disapointed. Sure some rooms dont have windows but the staff and the facility is nice enough for the price. In is right smack in the centre of PP. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel restaurant also serve a decent meal. I will be booking my stay there again next year.

Room Tip: If you are single choose room 311. It has a window and also right next to the balcony.

Just spent a few night s staying at the excellent Circuit Hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Anyone visiting South East Asia can , at times, struggle to find a really nice hotel at an affordable price. I, for one, tend to be at the budget to mid range price bracket, say under $25 a night. I found the Circuit almost by accident as I did not have my guide book with me. (Lonely Planet by choice). I was already staying at a pretty poor establishment paying $16 a night when I "discovered" the Circuit.
First impressions were that it would be to expensive and when they showed me a room I was even more convinced that it was a $25/30 a night place.
From entrance lobby with excellent English speaking staff, to the lift to the third floor, everything was very clean, neat and tidy. (Just what we travellers want, yes). Even the decor was pleasing on the eye. My room consisted of the usual wet room and bedroom.
A very tastefull bed of black wood and white duvet and sheets with a wardrobe of dark stained wood all topped off with a small flat screen tv, mounted on the wall. (International TV). The air-con was the was so noiseless that I had to keep looking at the green light to see if it was on! The bathroom with quality hot shower fittings and white suite was as good as I had seen for some time. (maybe I'm staying in the wrong hotels)?
Free Wi-Fi, plus two complimentery bottles of water a day in the small fridge.
Out side the room there was a small balcony overlooking the streets below.
Double glazed windows (and the third floor) meant traffic noise was of little problem.
All this for a mere $15! (although it should be $18) up to you to bargain.(as they say in these parts). But for myself the real icing on the cake was the staff. Good, attentive staff are as rare as hens teeth in this part of the world and frankly I could not fault them.
All in all, an excellent, affordable hotel just 10 mins walk from Riverside.

The circuit hotel is a nice hotel. The reception staff are friendly and our room was spacious and clean. We had a large comfy double bed with lovely bed linen on and a plasma tv screen on the wall.
We booked our three nights stay through agoda and breakfast was included, the breakfast was not a buffet but there was a decent choice on the menu.
The cleaning lady did a good job in the rooms but we noticed that our pillows had been put together each day as if someone had been sitting comfotably on our bed watching tv and when we put the tv on it always went automatically onto a local music channel - definately not something we had been watching previously!
However I really liked the hotel I just wouldn't recommend staying in Phnom Penh for three nights!
One tip is to visit S21 whilst you are there.

2 girls on a backpacking trip across Cambodia - this was our first stop. Was really close to the famous golden dome of the city market, and there were some cheap eateries around the corner where we had a bowl of noodles for less than USD1.

Booking was made via Agoda for USD11/night, which included air conditioning and hot water. The bathroom can be a bit messy as there is no partition between the shower area, sink and toilet.

However, the room was clean-ish and breakfast was simple. Booking 'with breakfast' does not mean a buffet spread - rather, it means selecting a dish from a menu, which comes with either coffee or tea.

Overall it was pretty OK. Would recommend if you're in Phnom Penh for 2 nights.
