This was a good choice for us. Only spending one day in Phnom Phen we were looking for a place to quietly rest from a long flight. While at the same time get to see the Museum and the Royal Palace. It worked out so well we booked with them again at the end of our trip and looked more into Phnom Phen. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the delicious breakfasts. Sitting poolside always turned up a friend who you could share travel stories with. Rooms had plenty of space and were clean and had all the amenities. Thank you, Eureka and your friendly staff.

Hi Catherine W

Thanks for your review of Eureka Villas.

One thing many of our regular customers tell us they keep coming back for is the friendly social environment around the pool and the people you meet.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again in the future.

We only spent 2 nights in Phnom Penh, but enjoyed our stay at Eureka. Nice little hotel with really friendly staff. We mentioned that we wanted to book a boat trip to Siem Reap and they took care of arranging for us.

Rooms were basic, but clean. Free wifi. Breakfast area had a nice atmosphere and the breakfast was good - bacon, eggs and fruit, with the option to make your own toast.

They had a small bar by the pool with $1.50 beer. We transferred some money into Cambodian currency, only to quickly learn that everywhere accepted USD (made it easier to quickly work out costs though)!

Location was good - variety of pubs and restaurants nearby. Central Market was within walking distance. We found the Russian Market to be better (it's huge with more variety) - probably a bit far to walk, but only a couple dollars on a tuk tuk will get you there fairly quickly.

Good value and good service - would recommend!

Hi Courtney L

Thanks for your review, and glad that you enjoyed your stay.

We now have all our new outdoor furniture in, including pool lounges, bar stools, outdoor lounges and outdoor table settings, giving people more options to relax around the pool. I'll update some photos over the next few weeks for all to see.

Thanks again

Firstly, the response from the hotel regarding your bookings are excellent. Ms Vachna is superb and she is like a walking Wikipedia....ask her anything and she will give you an answer, more often than not, quite accurate. What I like about Ms Vachna is she replies your emails and helps you with any queries you may have very efficiently and quickly.
This is not your normal hotel type but a cosy boutique hotel. it's a no frill hotel but yet caters to your every need. One reason for choosing this hotel is because of its strategic location, just directly behind the Royal Palace and Museum. Within 5 mins walk and you will be at the riverside where all the restaurants, pubs, massage joints(decent ones), night markets (on weekends only) etc are situated.
The rooms were cosy, not too small and beds provided for my wife and I and 2 separate beds for my kids. Toiletries are provided as well.
Outside the hotel, you can get a few regular tuk tuks who will be more than happy to show you around, ask for Mr Lim as he speaks good english and tells you the dos and donts when you are travelling around
Breakfast is not lavish spread and there is no buffets like some hotels but sufficient to keep you full for the morning. Usually you get scramble eggs or fried eggs or omelets with bacon. Plenty of bread and there is VEGEMITE!!!! not something you see in hotels.
There is a pool to keep kids entertained and a bar to drown your lethargy!!!
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a simple and cosy hotel. Staff is friendly and will assist you in any way possible.

One more advise..........USD is widely accepted here and you dont need to worry about changing to local currency as some shops will change it for you automatically if they do not have USD (usually small change so that they can keep the change...dont give in)

Room Tip: Good for Family as the family rooms are spacious

For the price I would've expected a little bit more out of the place. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit old and run down with a small tv mounted on the wall and the breakfast is below average. However the location is good , we walked to the National Museum and surrounding restaurants and stores. The manager Hen is fantastic and was available to answer my questions on email before arriving as well as assisting me to get a good driver as well as bus tickets to Siem Reap. The River Side is also just a short while away you could walk it in 15 min or take a 5 min Tuk-Tuk. If you staying just a short while this place is fine however if it's a longer stay comfort might be an issue.

Hi Sofiah D

Thanks for your review, and apologies for not meeting your expectations in our rooms.

We recently upgraded most of our rooms as well as adding some additional rooms, however we have a couple more to be upgraded early this year. This upgrade has included better lighting, bigger TVs and improved fire alarm system, as well as just a general freshen up.

Please feel free to contact me directly paul@eurekavillas.com with any specific feed back about areas you would like to see us improve in our rooms.

Thanks again

Traveling with 3 children this was an excellent hotel! Room had 2 bedrooms, one with 2 bunks and the other with king size bed. Bathroom could have been a little bit bigger. Nice small swimming pool and walking distance from national museum, royal palace and the river.

Ended up in a family room as the only one they had left, which would have been good value for a family/friends if is generally at the price we paid ($70), with two large interlinked bedrooms (double and twin) and a bathroom. Room nicely done, clean and comfortable, Reasonable sized, pleasant pool. However, the approach both to the hotel and to the room definitely let it down, with old concrete stairs more reminiscent of a hostel than an upmarket hotel. The reception was right at the back of the dining area, making it difficult to access. Building work was going on in another bar/reception type place, which we had to walk through to get to our rooms, and making it less attractive to use either the balcony or pool. Good location for sightseeing. Some staff a little less friendly and helpful than others, though generally good.

Hi Mary M

Thanks for your review and feedback. Apologies for the inconvenience during our time of renovation.

We have now opened our new bar and restaurant which provides a lot more space for guests to relax, as well as opening up the pool area with new furniture and a more private setting.

We also have a new reception and entrance to the property making it more convenient for guests to check in and get assistance from our staff.

Please feel free to contact me directly, paul@eurekavillas.com if you have any further feedback we can use.

Thanks again

Have stayed a Eureka with my wife - we experienced professional and friendly service, and a relaxing and laid back environment. Nice location to visit the Palace and other main tourist attractions. Rooms are clean, service is good, and would recommend Eureka Villas to others.

I strongly recommend Mr. Link the TUK TUK Driver for all tours in Phnom Pen
