“Exactly what I was looking for”

It's like an Oasis in the middle of a super busy city. Walking distance to the river and the palace the location is perfect. Great service, Nice clean room, beautiful pool, good breakfast and great food. I've been traveling solo and I've been looking for places other than hostels where you could meet people traveling as well. Most places i've stayed on my trip ended up being mostly couples and families. This place seemed to be the perfect solution. It had a good mix of people mostly hanging at the pool and having fun in such a laid back atmosphere it was a perfect place to stay.

The hotel is distinguished by its central location to major attractions and is still very quiet. The large rooms are very stylish decorated , the bathrooms are very generous. AC and Fan are extremly quiet!!! Each room has a balcony or terrace. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful , the service extraordinary. Absolutely happy about the large pool in the beautiful garden. The core of the hotel is a lovingly restored colonial building .
Particularly noteworthy is the excellent cuisine of the hotel - a generous breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires , the restaurant on the roof terrace with an excellent selection of local and Western food even . At the weekend a wonderful BBQ buffet. We stayed during our trip twice in the hotel - 4 nights at the beginning and booked - because we liked it so well - at the end of our journey again 3 nights . We have felt very comfortable and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We prefered the rooms in the first and second floor

This hotel was great… Just off a noisy busy street but inside it is a peaceful oasis. Breakfast was good and the pool area is a great place to chill out. Our room was large and clean. We had some problems with mosquitoes in the room as we were on the ground floor, but the staff dealt with this promptly and efficiently. Breakfast was good. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the restaurant area is very pretty at night - lit up with fairy lights. Overall this is a great place to stay and is excellent value for money.

Fantastic. Staff are so attentive and their English is excellent. Every need is met - efficient and friendly. There is not much you can walk to (in the heat) nearby but tuk-tuks are cheap and plentiful and most drivers speak a little English. There was just something about this hotel that was great… a real quality hotel without the pretentiousness of the 5* chains. Off a noisy busy street but as soon as you walk through the archway it is peaceful. Breakfast was good, pool clean, beds comfortable. All good :-)

I wasn't that keen on Phnom Penh itself but The Plantation is an absolute star of a hotel. The pool area is calm and gorgeous, the bar at the pool relaxing with fabulous food. A wonderful oasis to return to after a hectic day sightseeing. Our room was decorated in a boutique style and was large, very clean, and had a fabulous shower. And if you stay, don't miss out on eating at the restaurant upstairs. It's so pretty, lit with lots of dangly fairy lights, you can watch the world go by on the street below, whilst having great food in a wonderful alfresco atmosphere. In fact The Plantation was the highlight of Phnom Penh for me!

Boutique hotels are popping up in Phnom Penh almost every week but they will all struggle to compete with this gem of a place.
Well located, a quiet oasis away from the heat and dust of PP.
The staff are simply amazing, providing an on the button but relaxed service. The breakfast (held as a self select buffet on the terrace) is a feast of fresh fruit, juices, pastries, cold cuts and hot made to order omelettes
Top billing goes to the pool. Classy and cosy environment plus a rarity for europeans, warm water!
Plantation is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Go!

Room Tip: Try to get upstairs with pool view.
