this is a great hotel in a great location in the heart of phnom penh. the reason i haven't given this place 5 stars is because my room was next door to one of the rooms set aside for house keeping. the staff start work very early and were very noisy which caused quite a disturbance first thing in the morning (about 6.30am). overall, i recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.

Hi Tommy,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay and recommending our hotel to the TripAdvisor's readers. I like the tittle of your comment very much.

We are still having the challenge of sharing small work space next to four rooms, as you correctly mentioned. I trust that you would agree these rooms are nice and spacious. We will have a new work space in a new location in about 10 or 11 months from now, in the meantime we will do all we can to minimize the noise.

Or khun chouran.

After trekking non stop through Cambodia for 2 weeks spending a night in this place was all I needed! The service is impeccable, by very attentive and helpful staff with excellent English.
It’s the sort of place where there is thought of EVERY SINGLE detail! During check in you get a complimentary drink and chilled, wet towel (scented with mint; very detail I said!).

Despite booking a normal room, they upgraded me to a poolside room without any charge. The pool, spa, bar … all deliver the quality that you expect of it!
If I must say one negative thing about this oasis of tranquillity within the busy city of PP, it is that the cookies they served with the coffee were a bit soggy  … For the rest, keep up this level of hospitality!

Room Tip: Boot through their own website, so there will be no hassle with double bookings

I stayed at the Plantation with a friend last year and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for paradise in the midst of a bustling city. It almost felt as though we weren't in Phnom Penh as soon as we stepped foot in the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and we also happened to be staying at the hotel when the Phnom Penh fasion week was happening (which meant we got front row seats). My favourite part of the hotel was the incredible swimming pool and the exceptional bedroom - it really did feel like a retreat!

Room Tip: I would recommend the rooms on the ground floor which lead out to the swimming pool.

We've been there for 3 nights - The rooms are ok, design wise they are very simple, a lot of mosquitoes in the room and in the hotel.
The problem was that we didn't have hot water for 3 days, and no water at all in the sink for 2 days (!!), in the end we got a compensation.
The breakfast is good, and so is the restaurant of the hotel.
The service is good, very nice and trying to help.

Dear Guest,

Very sorry about the water, we indeed have had two pumps that blew up at the same time and it took 4 hours to change them. Solved now. We also treat against mosquitoes by fogging every two weeks. I guess some always remain in any tropical garden.

Cheers,

Alexis

Me and a friend stayed here for 6 days after staying at NagaWorld for 2 nights. This place was so great . The staff had to have been trained at the Ritz Carlton. They were so attentive. Everyone from the bellman to the landscaping guy. The food was excellent, especially dinner. Breakfast was great, the pool was great. My room was spacious and modern. I higly recommend this hotel.

6 of us stayed and used 4 rooms, we travel a lot around the World,We just stayed at The golden Temple in Siem Reap which has the same rating but the golden temple is smaller but they where fantastic and then coming here is a lower level to me, My room 4009 needs paint cleaner linen with no yellow head marks on pillows a full working tv and remote as this tv is missing channels and color on some channels remote stopped many times, internet worked 70% of the time between block 3 and block 4, food is OK, the Saturday BBQ $15 not so good, food in this great country is so good and easy to eat anywhere go out the gate and eat, we paid $110 per room and i would say this is a $70 a night hotel. i know people have different standards but try the golden temple in Siem Reap and tell me i am wrong , .positive side great art in the lobby for sale and the gift shop has great works of art and i bought a painting and spent $450 in the boutique on a red Buddha pink elephant gold elephant etc and great location nice plants looks nice as you enter, nice lobby building PCs work well in the lobby,
In the last 12 months i have been in Jamaica Japan Thailand Vietnam Ireland England Canada China Hong Kong Kohler Wisconsin In the USA for Christmas and i live in Chicago and this hotel is a 3 out 5 sorry Plantation
lick of paint employ someone to keep the 2 pool areas stocked with towels and clean all areas as the trees are dropping leaves and no one had been near the pool in 4 hours today old towels left in piles and 1 guy sweeping leaves very slowly clean as you go, which means teach the staff to pick up old glasses bottles towels ash trays plates etc, labor is very cheap here, 6 staff standing in reception as i write this and other areas of the hotel need a customer service touch.

Room Tip: do not stay in 4009 maids rooms outside this room and they are noisy from 6 am in and out all day...

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for the feedback. We aware of some of the issues we are having and that we need extra service and attention.

Although we have done a lot recently, the pool, sweeping need even more, as of today we will employ another staff temporary, during this falls, just to sweep around the pool most of the day.

Will make sure the pool staff more vigilant and do more service around the pool, empty glass clearing and towels replacement.

Sorry we must have overlooked paint stain in the pillow will check that again.

I am aware of the internet fluctuation we will have a meeting today with Ezecom.

We have replaced all the remote controls with a better ones, we might have skipped one. Will check this again.

Yes, we have our shift change over between 2pm and 3pm so one can see many staff overlapping for that period. Labor is indeed cheap here and we employ and train over 100 Cambodian staff for just 70 rooms.

We will keep learning and improving, one day will be better than the golden temple!

Many thanks

Adi

I can underline the rating of the previous comments.
The quite atmosphere. The great arrangement of this green place as well as the stylish Asian architecture with all the friendly staff.
Great place with high value and the King Palace as well as the Mekong river is just in walking distance. A room with pool view and balcony has a super view. A buffet is served on the weekend with 15 USD only which gives huge variety of Asian and Western cuisine on the top floor outside with a view out on the street as well as into the plantation pool area.
