“Fantastic food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

We told our hotel we wanted authentic Cambodian food and they recommended this place. Although the place was extremely touristy, but it has a view over looking the Mekong river. The food was excellent! We especially love their Cambodian Sour Soup and Fish Amok. But when we decided to come back the next day the food weren't as good! Don't know what happened? Different chef maybe? I wouldn't recommend their Italian food though. If it wasn't the change of taste for the second time I would've given them 5 stars.

“Bland food - nice setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

Got here starving - food took a while, beer not so cold. Good view from upstairs and signed pages from all over the world were cool to look at.
Had a couple of noodle dishes that were pretty bland - overall only ok

“Delicious food, friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

The Khmer Saravan is on Sisowath Quay looking out over to the river - not on Sothearos Boulevard as listed on TA at time of writing (I wrote to try to correct this). To avoid confusion it is on the quay close to the FCC and the many bars and small restaurants. The walls are papered with sketches and tributes from appreciative customers, and you soon realise why; the food is fantastic, fresh and served by friendly and attentive staff. The stir fried vegetables with pork is amazing. We also had the deep fried whole fish and a plate of morning glory. We would go there again, but, having read some negative reviews and spotted the confusion with the address, please be sure that the restaurant you visit is the one on the quay - there might be another not so good.

“Great brekky, coffee and service in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

We returned to Saravan twice for breakfast during our stay in Phnom Penh - great breakfast and coffee (latte, cappucino etc available). The staff at Saravan are very friendly and welcoming, nothing a problem! The interior walls of the restaurant are littered with pieces of paper with sketches and words of praise from people who have visited Saravan from all around the world. We become lost in the walls through reading! Ask the staff for a piece of paper and you too can share your experience with the world!

Although as tempting as it may be to sit near the front of the restaurant to watch the passers by move further in. This way you are less likely to be hassled by locals selling you items.

Try the pancakes - sensational!

In our opinion Khmer Saravan satisfies the tummy in more ways than one!

“Good value meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

We had lunch there. Three meals, four drinks and a large bottle of water cost $21. Salads and curries were tasty. We will return.
