Sofitel in Phnom Penh is agreat hotel. I have been staying there for the EU-ASEAN Summit and the overall organisation was great. Services and Staff very efficient. Room very large and confortable.
I would recommend stay in this hotel if you aim to visit the city, although it is not centrally located, but TUK-TUK are very cheap and easy to catch.

This hotel has the best pillow i've ever sleep on^^. Coziest bed. coziest sofa. It gave me free macarons on my third nights. Their restaurant has many flavour of delicious ice cream with several options of filling. The staff are very trained in saying "bonjour". I always had nice breakfast there. Nice stay

We visited Phnom Penh as part of Cambodia and Malaysia trip. We were very impressed with Sofitel Angkor Wat, however Sofitel Phnom Penh was a different story altogether. It is a newly built hotel and is quite a distance from anywhere. They refuse to call any other taxi or Tuk-Tuk apart from their own and therefore going out to downtown area was almost impossible as it is a long way away. There are no other facilities outside of the hotel One is almost forced to use the Restaurant at this hotel and very surprisingly they refuse to accept the Accor Advantage Plus card for dining discounts which is supposed to be valid, and accepted, in all of Asia Pacific, including Sofitel Angkor Wat. Food was of average quality. They tried to give us an upgrade but made a hash of it by compromising and giving us sort of an half upgrade. I would not recommend this as a Sofitel standard hotel.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

We thank you for your positive and constructive feedback on Tripadvisor.

We were pleased to read your satisfaction regarding your great stay at our sister hotel in Siem Reap / Angkor Wat.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused regarding the tuk tuks and this issue has been addressed in order to avoid any future occurence. In another hand, our hotel is indeed not on the list of participating hotels for food and beverage discounts with the Advantage Plus Card. We are currently only offering the discount on rooms providing Le Club points for eligible stays and expenses.

I look forward to welcoming you back soon at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.

With very best regards,
Frederik Deman

Everything is just outstanding at this Sofitel, especially when you are in one of the Executive floors with access to the Club Lounge. Rooms are fully equipped and the wifi works permanently, which is not the case everywhere! Breakfast is really something to remember, with a little exception for the eggs where your order is not always fully understood by the local cook. The staff is professional and very smily.

Room Tip: Choose the executive floors if you can afford it or negotiate it !
