Description: The Lone Star Saloon is a Texas themed bar and grill located in Central Phnom Penh just a few yards away from the st. 51 entertainment district. We specialize in Southern home cooking. Our menu features Chicken Fried Steak, Slow Smoked Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwiches.....and many more southern favorites. We are open early for breakfast and stock a full bar. We are primarily an expat's bar, although our staff and clientele are extremely friendly and we can help newbies navigate their way around the city..or the country. We are a family run business and we treat our customers as family. We strive to provide good value for money with inexpensive drinks and healthy food portions. We are not in any way a girlie bar.........just a friendly saloon.

Central location on a quiet street within ten minutes walking distance of the riverside , the local nightlife areas and the markets .Informative hosts(Greg & Leak) and the staff is A-1, with smiles that create a home away from home atmosphere. Was there eight days and I hated to leave the biggest rooms I've ever stayed in,on various trips to S.E.Asia.
Don't forget to try the food western or Khmer. The ribs were delicious and all the servings can satisfy many a big appetite
The patrons who visit the Lonestar are friendly and will give you great advice on travel and local places to visit that you might miss otherwise .
Will stay there again on my next visit in 2012. Jim Mulford

Since The Lone Star Saloon is also a small hotel, I stayed there a week . It's owned by a good ol boy from Texas which is run by him and his Khmer wife. Her sisters and brother work there and they along with the rest of the staff, all made me feel like family. The service was fantastic. When you walk into the place, you know it's Texan. From the Texas flag to signs for the Dallas Cowboys, you know you're in Teaxs. The food is very American and much of it is southern. (Texas and?) For breakfast, the bacon and eggs to the french toast, to the pancakes, everything very good. For lunch and dinner, from the hamburgers, to the chicken fried steak, to the BBQ ribs, excellent. Also they have a chicken and sausage gumbo and it is fantastic. For those who want to try the Khmer food, they also have many items for that. I think I tried everything on the menu and not one complaint. Above the restaurant, they have the small hotel with 4 huge, neat and comfortable rooms. Free wifi and a daily very good American Breakfast. Will I return there one day? Without a doubt and very soon.

After spending the last ten days as a guest at the Lone Star saloon, I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the place. Massive rooms, tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and reasonably priced, all as you'd expect for a place fully refurbished less than 3 months ago. The food was an outstanding selection of southern American & local dishes, all cooked to your liking (try the smoked BBQ ribs, to die for!) and service that is largely unseen these days. The owner Greg and his Cambodian family simply couldn't do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. From organizing tours, transport, and discount accommodation for our other Cambodian destinations, to local knowledge, tips and tricks that saved us time and money, these guys bent over backwards to make our time in Phnom Penh unforgettable. They also have a great little bar with a hilarious bunch of regulars, mostly expat yanks and Aussies. Look no Further than here. Seriously!
