Description: Topaz is a sophisticated French cut above the rest with six upstairs private rooms, a unique walk-in wine cellar with floor-to-ceiling and exceptional vintages and a humidor stocked with the finest imported cigars. Elegance and creativity are perfect partners alongside unequalled service with an eye to mouthwatering presentation and a menu based on Gallic know-how. Widely considered to be the blue riband first choice of visitors and residents in the capital.

Why is this restaurant so low in the rankings on TripAdvisor?
Its by far the best restaurant, knowledgeable service, Very big wine list.
We ordered the lobster ravioli and the foie gras to start. Both were beautifully prepared and tasted fresh and wonderful.
For the Entre we had the rib of beef to share. It was cooked to our request MR and came with some side of vegetables.
We ordered a Dessert and cheese and both were a perfect way to end the meal.
It is expensive considering you are in Cambodia but the quality is of Paris!

This is a first class establishment from the time you walk through the garden you know the place is special. The food was as good as you could get and the service exceptional. The prices for Cambodia are very high compared to the average eatery but this is not your average dining experience.

Service was very good, as it should be, and unobtrusive.
We started with the beef tartar and red snapper. Both were quite good. Tartar had a nice saltiness with the addition of foie gras. Red snapper was fresh but a bit overpowered by too much foam.
My husband had the tenderloin. The steak itself was cooked perfectly. But, the accompaniments were so over spiced they had an acrid taste and were in edible.
Lastly the restroom situation is annoying. It seems a total afterthought. One should never have to go on a scavenger hunt to find the bathroom.

Had a 18th birthday celebration with a group of 12 people here. An unfortunate start as the restaurant wasn't ready 20 minutes prior to my table booking. Eventually after a little unpleasant exchange my party was allowed inside the VIP room. The service is outstanding, the food absolutely delicious. What a treat this was! A birthday treat for my daughter who has a craving for Foie Gras.

There seems to be an army of staff who are all very friendly and attentive.
Indeed very attentive, but definitely and quite unsettlingly rushed. You'd literally have your plates cleared the moment you finished a course. Not good, I don't like that.

Overall splendid decor. Excellent menu. Wonderful wines. Well trained and very very attentive staff.
