We visited this bar-restaurant-gallery early on a Friday night, before going to the theatre and to be honest I wish we had been able to stay all evening and make a night of it. The ground floor has a bar (with a good range of cocktails and spirits) and sofas with a modest art gallery around the walls (which was showing some interesting space & robots stuff whilst we were there). It is comfy yet funky and I imagine would have quite an atmosphere later at night. The menu is mainly South American-International (I was not aware of a particularly strong Asian theme) with some innovative combinations and more traditional fare. The dessert was the highlight with a moreish lime-chilli sorbet. The food was not the best I've ever had but was nonetheless high quality, excellent value, and when combined with the bar, gallery, location (in an old Chinese colonial house) and atmosphere it makes a compelling combination and a recommended night out for groups of friends and couples.
