This is the place to visit if you want to have a top-class South American/ Mediterranean dinner in the Asian continent. To be part of the whole experience, I recommend getting there by Tuk Tuk, a typical Cambodian motorcycle taxi. Once you arrive you'll find yourself walking inside a warm and welcoming Chinese house from the early 1900s. The rest I leave for you to discover... definitely the best dinning experience in Phnom Penh.

Tried the Tepui last week on one of my sourcing trips. The chef hailing from Venezuela is female named Gisela, she makes quite a few interesting interpretations of some classic dishes. Food is quite good I have to admit, portions are huge, not tapa sized at all as the menu sometimes indicates.

The setting is absolutely stunning and a great place to hang, loung and eat with friends

Easily my favourite restaurant in Phnom Penh.
Long considered the wrong end of town this area is now becoming a culinary corner of Phnom Penh. The staff are personable, the decor is from a bygone era.
I have had dinner here and the Venezuelan chef is incredible, the menu has changed and evolved and always offers small if not significant surprises.
The interesting thing about this place is how lively the cocktail bar on the ground floor can get and after dinner the tempo changes to create what is one of Phnom Penh's most colourful scenes.
Always interesting art and an international crowd.

To be fair the food here was pretty good. Not be best in Phnom Penh but pretty good. The real draw is the building which is colonial and has a great open plan bar downstairs with sofas and a restaurant upstairs.

The acoustics upstairs are a bit challenging if you have any difficulty with hearing and this is possibly due to the high ceiling and hard furnishings. But don't let that put you off.

Service was good but not outstanding.

Cost was low by European standards and moderate to high by Cambodian ones.

I would go again with friends.

We ate at Tepui as all the reviews indicated it was an excellent restaurant. Yes, the food was good, but I have to admit it was not the best meal I had had in Phnom Penh.

I found the food to be beautifully presented and my duck main course was delicious and very well cooked, but the food fusion that is one of the key selling points of this restaurant just did not work for me in terms of some of the flavours; and I also found some of the courses to be quite salty.

It was also the most expensive meal we had in Phnom Penh, so I guess I was expecting more.

Service was good and the atmosphere and building is quite lovely, but it is the food I came for.

Would I return? Probably not.
