We visited Cambodia for the first time and stay at the Castle for six days. The hotel was not big but nice location, near market and restaurant, clean with spacious room. The staff of the hotel were very friendly as I saw, they always smiled to me and quickly responded what I needed. Staying at the hotel feel like family. So I definitely stay at the hotel next time I visit Cambodia.

The hotel is located near the river, across from the boardwalk, at a 10 minute walking distance from the royal palace. On the main street you can find a wide selection of restaurants, most of them serve western dishes for a few dollars, all of them offer deals on alcohol.
Take a morning walk outside the hotel and enjoy the amazing colors, flavors and smells of the local market, located just next to the hotel, left to the entrance.
The room was clean, modest and simple. The bed was VERY hard - and I say this as a person who prefers their bed to be of the firmer kind. It seems that this is a Cambodian thing, as our next hotel suffered from the same problem.
Breakfast is very modest. Don't expect a great variety of foods but if you are not picky you won't leave hungry.
The hotel offers a swimming pool (which we didn't try) and free internet service at the lobby using public computers - a big plus.
Note that besides the lobby, public areas of the hotel (corridors and dining room) are not air conditioned, so be prepared.

It's a small simple hotel smack right in the middle of everything. The river side, the market, the royal palace, the national museum, pubs, etc. The hotel is very clean and like most cambodian folks, they are friendly. I've not experienced any Tuk Tuk operators shouted at me during my 5 days stay there or bed bugs. I paid USD55 for a deluxe room which is quite spacious with AXN, HBO, Star Movie and a whole lot of other channels. And right opposite the hotel, you can get a massage at USD5 an hour.

I was put here during a tour but I did my research before coming. For the price - USD 65 I would consider this a very average tour-group type hotel. Nothing really stood out for the hotel except for the location and the free wifi in the lobby. In fact, this would be one of the bland, average hotels that i would avoid at all costs if I had any control over the hotel choices in the tour. Breakfast started at 6am so that was good - other hotels only started at 7am sometimes. The selection of the buffet was bad though.

If you have already booked with this hotel -rest assured that there are no issues or complaints - it was reasonably clean, responsive staff, decent room size. Its just really really boring (and catered for tour groups) with not much personality.

Halfway through a 6 night stay and i must say that overall we are very pleased. The room is $60 (we got a balcony room with views of the river and local market) and is good and clean, aircon, minibar, cable TV, good sized bathroom with the usual freebies etc. However no free WiFi, but that is available in the lobby along with 3 computers. The pool is certainly a bonus, great for escaping the hustle and bustle outside. The buffet Breakfast is nothing special but adequate, yet the 360 degree views you get from the rooftop restaurant are fantastic, over the rivers and over the city's skyline including the Royal Palace. The location is perfect, only 30m from the riverside with its collection of bars and restaurants, as well as being within easy walking distance of the National Museum and the Royal Palace. Ah! and by the way the staff are very polite and willing to help. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The first room we were given her stank of smoke, but we were quickly moved to a non smoking room which was much larger, although the air con didn't work well. This was quickly solved when the maintainance man cleaned the filter. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, safe box and hairdrier.
The bathroom was modern with a shower over the bath. All was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was good, Eastern and Western food served in a lovely open terrace dining room.
Dinner was not fantastic, but there are lots of great restaurants nearby.
The swimming pool is good, although it doesn't open very early in the morning, towels are supplied.
There is a charge for wifi, computers are available in the lobby.
The hotel is close to the shops, bars, esplanade, and Royal Palace.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. All the employees are very nice en helpfull. They carried our luggage to our rooms.

The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was also very nice.

Free wi-fi was good, but you can only use in the hotellobby, not in your room. Als there are three computers in the lobby for using the internet free.

Breakfast was not so good.

The swimmingpool is nice but sometimes it's a littlebit smelly because of the carbage from the market nearby.

The location of the hotel is good. A lot of restaurants and travelagencies around.
