Le Rit's is a little out of the way from the main drag - so grab a tuk-tuk and get yourself there.
Went there for an early dinner and sat in the garden area, which was a lovely covered planted area with powerful fans.
Could not fault the service, friendly and smiling girls who looked like they were happy to be there.
We had a hankering for salads, so had the beef salad, which was full of fresh tasty vege, perfectly cripsy and seasoned, along with the pork laap, which I asked for lots of chilli.
Boy did that deliver - superb!
The gift shop is great, with lots of mobiles and soft toys for kiddies - shame all the kiddies I know have grown up!
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Our breakfast, lunch and diner in Le Rit's were a tasty combination of Cambodian, Thai and French cuisine, served by young women in training in this friendly NGO-hotel. Hotel rooms are quiet, cool, comfortable and spacious, with clean bathrooms. Service comes from friendly young women whose position in society is vulnerable, but who receive lessons-on-the-job in English, math and service.
It felt good to know that with our stay we were supporting their training!
Apparently, a new Le Rit's has just been opened in Siem Reap.
Our week in Le Rit's Phom Penh was enjoyable: peacuful ambiance, also between the palms in the dining garden. Inside we could watch the women handicrafting colourful handbags from Cambodian silk.
A lovely and reasonably priced place for people who have a heart for charity.

We were very keen to support good causes during our stay in Phnom Penh, and were delighted with our experience at the Friends restaurants. Therefore we thought we might seek out this restaurant and see what it had to offer.

When we arrived (at around 7pm), we were the only customers, and it would be fair to say that the staff seemed a little surprised to see us. The restaurant consists of a reasonably pleasant garden area, and fairly uninspiring interior. We could not find any mention in the menu, or restaurant, of what the good cause was, that we were supporting.

We found the food to be very bland, with little in the way of interesting flavours, despite us choosing what we thought might be spicier dishes (chilli and lemongrass chicken, and a fish amok). Service was attentive, but without a smile.

Perhaps we visited the restaurant on the wrong day, or wrong time of year. Based on our experience I would struggle to recommend Le Rits - we felt a lot more effort was required to improve the food, service and overall experience. It would also be helpful to have information on hand, perhaps in the menu, about the charity.

We were feeling a little more adventurous so caught the tuk tuk and tried to direct the driver to this restaurant in street 240, it was a little difficult to find but once there we were pleased with our choice. The Thai style food is well prepared and tasty, the fish and pork larb dishes were moist and flavor some. The restaurant kitchen closes early (9.00pm) so don't come here late as you will be disappointed. There is an outdoor dining area which can fit a small group, unfortunately this was already occupied so we ate indoors which was set amongst the local craftwork of the locals. Another good value for money restaurant worth a visit.

You should definitely visit this lovely restaurant and shop when visiting Phnom Penh. The $6 three-course lunch is amazing value and is delicious. The range of coffees available is great and they are very tasty. The produce available in the shop is a little more expensive than the markets (as with most NGOs) but it is beautiful and very high quality. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed lunch.
