This is a great Indian restaurant I regularly visit with friends and colleagues. You can't go past their set menu, only US$3 for a plate of vegetables, daal beans and your choice of meat (vegetarian option without the meat is $2.50). Unlimited rice and chipati bread is included! Most drinks are around 75c.
It's located just off the riverside, and it's price and quality can't be rivalled on the riverside stretch. You can enjoy you meal without the hassle of traffic and hawkers that take over the riverside
All the above said, there is no need to come here if you're looking for class. The place is covered in fake flowers and the "Happy New Year" sign still hasn't been taken down but that just adds to the Phnom Penh charm.
Not so charming is the guesthouse does attract a mixed crowd, so you may sadly have an older western with his young khmer girlfriend on the table next to you. In most cases, however, it is still a suitable restaurant for backpackers and families alike.
The staff are always friendly, the food is among the cheapest in the area and I eat their regularly and am yet to get sick from the food (a rare claim to fame for even the best restaurants in Phnom Penh!).
