Description: Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.

“Very nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Great decor and service, we went there twice in a row and had great food twice.
nice to go have a look a the little shop upstairs too!
Am sure there are more authentic and more affordable places to go but as a tourist who was looking for a safe choice, we were not disappointed.

“A must do…”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

A visit to Romdeng is a must, not only for the great work that its ‘mother’ organisation, Friends, is doing for vulnerable street kids, but for the setting, a stunning building, the service, and the food, where else can you see fried tarantula on a menu???

“Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

This place is run on the same style as Jamie Oliver, kids trying to do their best in a country where life is very hard, the food was the best that I had anywhere in Cambodia and I would love to eat there again anytime, please don't miss this place.

“Try the fried tarantulas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

very nice place to eat, great for lunch or dinner (have done both) typical decor with excellent value for money food. Speciality of the house is the famous fried tarantulas.... been told this is the only place in PP that serves them.

The restaurant is run by Friends International one of the NGO's taking people of the streets and training them with a skill to enable them to have a better life.....a reson to visit just for that.

Check out the shop upstairs. The table by the pool at night are very nice.
