Overall, very satisfying. I stayed for 7 days here. Clean, affordable, with free Wi-Fi. My room had reliable hot water, a refrigerator, a queen-size bed, cable TV, air conditioning. Service was pleasant and efficient -- Cambodians are a smiling, friendly people. I had most of my meals in the hotel -- not bad -- ranging from $4 to $8 (I didn't try the more expensive dishes). Will definitely book here again if I ever come back to Phnom Penh.

Rooms are spacious and spotless, good air con, beds, pillows, linen and towels.Restaurants are good although a bit pricey compaired to eating out,the choices for the included breakfast was quite good.
The staff are well trained and tripping over each other to keep the guests happy,i never waited long for anything i requested.
The hotel is just out of the tourist area on the riverside but no more than 5 minutes and a $2us tuk tuk ride away.i would recomend this hotel to anyone who prefers to be a little bit away from the main action of a very busy city where it is a little bit quiter and more relaxed.

This is a fairly new hotel, but unfortunately with some rough edges. The rooms are very nice, but our biggest complaint is with the showers. For some odd reason they installed the shower head about one meter high, which makes them almost useless. The hot water only lasted about 2 minutes, didn't matter what time of day. The restaurant food was adequate (we ate there because the breakfast was included), but they never got our order correct the three days we stayed there. Clearly some of it was language related, but even when we pointed at the menu they still brought the wrong item. Service was also very slow.

Heard of Almond from some friends. Though location is not as center as that along the riverfront, the hotel provides tut-tut for our convenience. The fact that our room was clean and everything works plus the bonus was, we had a private balcony overlooking beyond some official buildings to the Mekong river. The breakfast though not as elaborate as that of the buffet at hotel, they provide us a few choice for set breakfasts. The local Khmer set of local noodle was perfect. The tv channels was ample and even had wifi free. Perfect for people like me who simply cannot do without checking my emails. The price is very reasonable. Surprising to find a nice chinese restaurant here at the hotel. Though not as renown as those that's branded, but the basic facilities are there and for a business traveller like me who doesn't have a big budget for hotels, this charming hotel is great. Definitely will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

We spent one night here at short notice on our way back to the UK, having been diverted from Bangkok.

The hotel is just about within walking distance (or a tuc-tuc ride) from the main sights, though there is little in the immediate area. In UK terms it would probably have 3 stars.

On the plus side, service in the downstairs restaurant the evening we were there was excellent - lots of staff, all very friendly and helpful, and both a Western and Chinese menu with everything at very reasonable prices. The staff were extremely smart and the decor and ambience good.

Our room was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. There was a room safe.

On the other hand, one couple in our party woke up in the morning to find their bedroom and bathroom flooded! Also service at breakfast was fairly slow, though to be fair we did have to leave very early and maybe they hadn't really got going by then. Reception did not exchange foreign currency.

But all in all, a good little hotel.

My finacé and I stayed here for two night during the week of the water festival. We only booked one night online but there was no problem with us staying an extra night. The previous week we had stayed at the Scandinavia hotel and were just looking to switch it up. Since the water festival was going on the street in front of the Almond was very busy, but none of the noise kept either of us awake at night.

The rooms at the Almond were very clean and had everything you could need (hair dryer, safe, closet, soap, etc...). As for the service is was top notch! Very friendly and extremely helpful. With our room we were able to get onto the WiFi for free and the Almond has some of the fastest internet in Cambodia. We also had complementary breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast was anything from the menu which was way better then your standard croissant and coffee.

I would stay at the Almond again if I was in Cambodia and would recommend to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.
