“Great hotel”
Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

After spending a month in cheap backpacker hostels throughout Vietnam and Cambodia, we upgraded ourselves to this hotel on the last night, and regretted not going there sooner! Had very clean rooms and bathrooms were amazing. The restaurant downstairs had great food, although a little pricy compared to other places we'd stayed, however the hotel was overall definitely worth the money we paid. The staff were lovely and very helpful as they organised transport for our group of 20 to the airport at very early hours of the morning.

5 star place with no complaints other than it is impossible to move the chair at the desk without a monstrous scraping sound. They have chair glides in the dining room--why not in the guest rooms? The people above me were doing chair aerobics till late at night. That was a petty point but the only flaw I found in this gorgeous hotel. Great food, usual mixed Asian and American type breakfast items but with no juice included. The glass of orange juice the waitress brought us as an extra expense was obviously fresh squeezed and was delicious. Two bottles of water in your room for free and a refrigerator to put them in. Very clean. Good Air conditioning fully adjustable. Spotless rooms with in room safe. No locals every stay here--it's a tourist hotel in the touristy part of town. Lovely--would stay here again. BTW, go out the front door and turn right about 50 yards and there is a laundry. I gave them 3 pounds of laundry at 7 a.m.and it was back by late afternoon the SAME DAY. Cost $2.25!

Room Tip: I was in 202 that looked onto the street from the second floor. Not the best, but Cambodians close t...

A wonderful experience. I was traveling alone and stayed at the hotel for four nights. I could not have felt more welcomed. Everyone was good, very accommodating. The room was gorgeous and I loved the location of the tourist area. The template tours they arranged were terrific. Next time I will do a few days on my own. With one hotel and 3 restaurants in.

I recently stayed here for one week. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and professional. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was O.K. The best part for me was the cleanliness, I would stay in this hotel again if I had the opportunity I would stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: In a fairly rough area, take transportation at night, no moonlight strolls.

You will get to enjoy excellent service from this hotel, staff are well-trained, professional, helpful and polite, most importantly, they make you feel right at home. Thumbs up! needless to say, Almond hotel is always well-located, walking distance to many tourist areas. The room was very clean, nice and comfortable. Complementary breakfast at the hotel was great.
The food ranged from good to excellent. I am a picky eater, and I did just fine!

We arrived at the almond and were met by smiling faces who welcomed us with a cool drink
They also gave us a free beer or cocktail voucher to use during our stay. The hotel was close to th city and only a $2 ride to all the tourist attractions in phnom penh.
The rooms were clean, the bed good, the air conditioner worked well and the price which included breakfast was excellent.
We had the $20 room if you want a room with a window pay the extra couple of dollars. It didn't worry us as we were only in our room to sleep.
I would definitely return and stay there.
