“Wonderful boutique hotel”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

It really is easy to forget you're in the heart of PP while staying in this relaxing, peaceful little hotel. (Ok there was some construction work going on next door, but most of the noisy work had finished by the time we returned to the hotel late afternoon!) The pool area is beautiful, in a garden like setting, with large sunbeds and salas. A wonderful place to relax after a busy day exploring!! Comfortable room, modern and very nicely decorated, (I loved the bare concrete finish in the bathroom) The staff were wonderful, helpful and nothing was too much trouble! Nice food, great cocktails!! The breakfast was simple but well done and tasty.
I highly recommend this place, it has everything you need for a city holiday. Great location, attentive staff, good food, nice pool and value for money! We'll be back for sure!!

Room Tip: No elevator, so some may prefer a lower floor.

We really loved this hotel. Your greeted with a delicious juice and each morning the breakfast is light, fresh and delicious. We stayed in Room 1 which at first we thought was odd because it's literally in the lobby. However, it was a really lovely room. Nice size bathroom, comfortable bed and all the amenities you could need. As well as extremely clean! They have a large movie collection as well. The pool area was a well needed oasis after a day at the killing fields and S21. I really can't say enough good things. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It's a short walk to the promenade and many restaurants. Plus you can't beat the price. We will definitely stay again.

It is worth every single sent to stay in a private pool room! The only complaint I have is that the breakfast is pretty dull. We stayed in PP twice, and cancelled the second hotel we were meant to stay at in order to go back to the Blue Lime. There was construction going on next door, but they were kind enough to leave a note apologizing to guests for the noise, even though it was clearly not their fault. The cocktails are amazing. The beds are comfortable. The pool is savior on really hot days. Loved it. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money to have your own private plunge pool!

I have nothing but high compliments for Blue Lime. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable from welcome drinks to help with booking activities and transportation without any hidden fees. The staff exceeded our expectations during our 24 hour stay. My only wish was that I could have stayed longer here. Wifi works well, the pool is clean and refreshing, and the meals were done well. With cheaper options in Phnom Penh, I still think people should consider spending a few more dollars to stay at Blue Lime, which is priced very reasonably by high-income country standards and offers what you'd expect from a place that would cost more in another country.

We recently stayed at the Blue Lime hotel for 4 nights, and really quite enjoyed it.

The staff is friendly and professional, and I liked that they welcome you with a drink when you check-in -- North American hotels really need to get into the habit of doing this ;)

We stayed in Room 16, one of the ground floor rooms by the pool that everyone mentions, and they are quite nice. The room's decor is modern and I really liked all the furniture with the cement foundation. The room had an outdoor seating area, but there wasn't much of a view as it's just surrounded by walls -- still pleasant though.

Loved the pool area and all the lounge chairs surrounding it. It really did feel like we were in our own private oasis, shielded from Phnom Penh's chaos.

Breakfast was tasty and the seating area was nice, being right beside the pool.

Hotel's location is really central, situated right by the Royal Palace and National Museum. The hotel is accessible through an alley way (street 19Z) and we thought it was really difficult to find when we first arrived because there was no signage pointing out the way -- look for the "Alley Cat Cafe" sign. Blue Lime should definitely consider putting something up!

Overall, very good hotel to stay in if you're visiting PP.

P.S. At the time of writing this review, there was construction happening right next to the hotel. We didn't hear it much because we were further away in one of the ground floor rooms, but I'm not sure if this would be the case for the rooms in the main building on the higher floors.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor room by the pool. If you can get a ground floor room with a private pool, even be...

Firstly what a lovely oasis in a very busy, full on city. I must admit that when we were first dropped off at the side street entrance to our hotel we were very apprehensive, but on entering the hotel it gave us a totally different feeling. The staff on reception are so lovely ( all the ladies anyway ) so helpful they went the extra mile , breakfast & bar staff likewise, food we had from the kitchen was very good with a choice of breakfast & it was freshly made to order, lovely fruit juice. They have a really nice pool area, Unfortunatly the hotel next door was under construction but we were moved to a larger room away from the noise when we were woken up with the drilling on the first morning. The hotel is very close to the Royal Palace and the river quay so good location, Tuk Tuk drivers on stand by always. Has a sister hotel the Pavilion which we were told we could use, however not there main pool though as for their guests only

Room Tip: We were looked after very well with a move to alarger room, the hotel staff could not do enough for...

Blue Lime is modestly sized boutique-type accommodation that is CLEAN, well positioned to sights and sounds and served our needs extremely well. Arriving in Phnom Penh, in one of the two hottest months of the year, we greatly appreciated our own private pool. The room furnishings are made of concrete, aiming to be contemporary, but the king bed was very comfy for us. A few softer pillows might be a nice addition. A good breakfast was served beside the main pool area; choices available but menu variety did not change in our four days there. Drinks, lunch and dinner also were available if you did not feel like venturing out or wanted a night cap on arrival back at the hotel. There were a number of 'sister' accommodation sites within the area; these were bigger and better equipped (rooms higher star rating, spa, bigger restaurants,,etc) but they did not have the private pool rooms. Very reasonably priced for what we got ($US80 per night) and website advertised NO SEX TRAVELLERS! Down a darkish alley way with a dodgy-looking bar at the end of the street, but we had no safety issues (Security guard sits in a little guard box out the front). Behind Royal Place and easy walking distance to riverside and a multitude of restaurants. PS: Eat at the "Latin Quarter" about 100mts away.
3 excellent tapas plates and a sangria for $US10 before 7.00pm - great value!!

Room Tip: Get one of the rooms with private plunge pool!
